I priced these from Renault, and Alex is about right in his prices. Remember that you will need the nuts for the fronts aswell.
In the end up scrubbed mine clean with a wire brush and copper slipped them to death.
I have no plans of getting them off again during my ownership, and neither...
Re: Very annoyed - rebuilt whole suspension with new mounts and now I have a knock?!
Hi chaps
There are currently about 2 threads visible after using the M14 3mm washer I had turned at work.
Re: Very annoyed - rebuilt whole suspension with new mounts and now I have a knock?!
Thanks Martin. I'll try that.
With regards to the track rods, thinking back, I think we just slotted then into the whole and then wizzed the nut up with a nut runner.
Are you saying they need pressing into...
Re: Very annoyed - rebuilt whole suspension with new mounts and now I have a knock?!
Nice thought Gaverick, not thought of that. I'll try it.
I had some M14 washers (3mm thick) machined down at work to 28mm OD and fitted those under the top plate (on top of the 27mm spacer nut thing) after...
Re: Very annoyed - rebuilt whole suspension with new mounts and now I have a knock?!
Dogbone changed by Renault two weeks ago.
All we did was change the suspension!
Sounds like its coming from the top mounts, both sides.
No vibration, no knock through the steering wheel.
Just sounds like a...
Re: Very annoyed - rebuilt whole suspension with new mounts and now I have a knock?!
OK
The 27mm nut is wound right down but the large rubber bush supplied with the top mount kit still moves around a bit. I hear this is normal.
If you grab the top mount from under the bonnet you can turn...
Re: Very annoyed - rebuilt whole suspension with new mounts and now I have a knock?!
If you see it you will see nothing!
Everything is tight as to be expected, nothing stand out as in fitted wrong so I'm truly stumped.
What are you first thoughts mate?
Any thought is a good thought!
Hi all
Ok so last weekend the Clio 182 was rebuilt with the following;
Genuine front lower arms
Genuine CUP dampers
Genuine NEW top mount kit with correct NEW spacers
Genuine front ARB drop link things (not the D bushes)
Genuine front track rod ends
Cooksport lowering springs
Everything was...
Ain't no one flaming me fella, believe it.
Logical answer chip, incidentally peering into my cat showed it to be immaculate.
The car has genuinely pepped up for me. It was a well worthwhile component and I am chuffed with it.
Kumho KU39 Sport LE are quite superb. I had them on my E60 525i Sport (to rid the horrible runflats) and currently have them on my DC2 Integra. I honestly can't really fault them. Some pals have done BMW track days aswell without issue.
The PS3's on my 182 are however superb.
I got a new genuine Renault clamp and fitted it with some Wurth exhaust sealant. Whether it works or not I have no idea but will find out!
Imprezaworks, sorry fella not having a dig, just posting up my opinion for other community members to read/learn. Apologies if you took it the wrong way...
Sounds like a bit of a nightmare day bud.
Not done one on these personally but I'm sure some of the more experienced cambelt-err's will be on to advise shortly.
I don't get the floating pulleys - whats wrong with key ways? Cost I bet.
Mate, no. Categorically. Do you think I'm some sort of idiot? And who said it was louder? I don't recall saying that at all, I commented on how it sounded deeper, NOT louder.
Interesting from you guys. No placebo for me, being ruining my cars for years lol.
I've kept the old CAT which looked really clean actually.
If I find an issue I can always pop it back on.
I know 110% the car drives better than what it did without it.
I'll gauge the performance over the...
I have an RS192 on the vehicle, and decided to get the matching Scorpion decat pipe.
Fitted today with a new Renault fitting kit, Renault rear clamp and a lovely little lambda spacer to keep the rear CMS from the exhaust gas.
What can I say. I am absolutely amazed with the difference!
From...
I am amazed you can get a full respray for £500.
I've had loads of cars painted, my last being my Integra DC2 which through my mate was around 2K. That did need some light welding and had some additional items like Wurth stonechipping all the inner arches etc, plus he knows I'm a fussy arse...
'Whoop whoop its the sound of tha Police, whoop whoop its tha sound of the beast'....
Sorry, couldn't help it! KRS maybe? Can't for the life of me think who it was!
I would suggest the Injector 3 open circuit is the most likely cause. You have failed an injector (or a bad connection). I would clear it and then retest to see if it comes back. If it comes back instantly then the wiring/injector is at fault.
Open circuit suggests that there is nothing...
I've got PS3's on my 182 and they are fantastic!
However, I also have Kumho KU39's on my Integra DC2 (same size as the 182) and they are also brilliant, albeit not as good as the Michelins in the wet.
As suggested by Chi, it could be worth changing the dephaser although its probably noisy if it needs doing.
Worth doing the aux belt kit aswell, and as the inlet will be off I would personally put a nice new set of plugs in and clean out the throttle body with it removed.
Worth thinking about...
