Looking at getting rid of the valver and getting something bigger and boring eg a vectra, was looking at a 2.0 litre 16v gls, lot slower than the valver, was quoted £600 more??? Its a lower insurance group etc but Im getting quoted a lot more than for the valver, whats going on?

Really pissing me off now, just changed the alternator as the voltage regulator was fcked, now its constantly charging at 11-12.5v doesnt change when rev'd etc, wtf??? tried a diff battery as well, any ideas??

Just changed both shocks and springs, used new bearings as well. Now the springs are seated correctly but when I move the steering left/right the spring jumps around? Any ideas what could cause this...

Just fitted a new alternator, bushes in the old one were buggered. Now its running nearly 16V on idle but when I turn everything on it it drops right down to just over 12?? If I rev the engine its fine lights get mega bright way brighter than with the old alternator but only if i rev it...

Just to clarify as someone mentioned a printing error in haynes... Do I undo the centre with a hex type anti clock wise, then when thats loose I undo the tensioner pulley with a 22mm spanner? Gonna b pretty impossible to try to hold the spanner while getting the hex in at the same time :S

Need to find a cheap fuel pump, local motor factors etc want over £100 for 1 :S but then I can get a 'motorsport' pump from ebay for £85?? Also they seem to be cheap as chips for others clios/renaults etc :(

Fuel pump has been making a whining noise pretty much since I had the car 1-2 years, yesterday it cut out completely though. The whining noise was a lot less quiet, when I turned the key to turn the electrics on you could hear the pump but it was very faint, no where near as loud as before when...

Rear arch liner has properly rusted, dad looked at it reckoned it could be welded as its only the liner not any mounting points which have rusted! failed mot on it (and many other things) Anyone know much I would be charged for it to be welded?

Battery light flickering on often and sometimes stereo cuts out when too loud, checked the voltage across the battery earlier, it was 14v with no load, then 12v when I had on stereo, de-mister, hazards, rear+front fogs, full beam everything with a switch lol. Does that sound ok or fcked? Cheers

Getting another hub for my valver, which is 54mm spacing (akaik?) but the scrappies round me only have 1.2/1.4 etc so which ones would have the same spacing as mine so 54mm?
