    Discount Renault Parts

There may be a few people who offer this on here already, but no harm in another one! I work as a techie at Renault Waters in Harpenden and my manager has confirmed to me we can offer discounted parts to members on here. We're in Hertfordshire, just give us a shout if there is anything...

    Knock Sensor Part No

You might find you need a loom extention kit with the TDC sensor also. The modern TDC's use a different shaped connector (the grooves/slots differ) but you can ''adjust'' the original loom to fit but it is not reccomended for obvious reasons. Ask your dealer about this just incase...

    annoying exhaust/linkage rattle..

I'm Renault trained and if we get cars in with after-market exhausts, we do have a chuckle. Very often the welding is shoddy and the bends rediculous. If you're going to buy after-market, lash out all you can... It won't be gear linkage, check underneith yourself and when cold (so you...

    Went to the dealers today...

Hi! The cam-shaft cork's you have said, do need replacing yes. They go on the other side of the engine to the cam pulleys. The ''generator belt'' is the aux belt. (auxillairy) The cambelt and aux. belt are different and both need to be replaced. Get it done ASAP...

Need help with strange head unit problem?

Is it speed related? Stock Renault units have a speed input, that make it raise it's volume when going over certain speeds.

    Problem locking car

Ok, let me know how you get on. You'll only need an 8mm spanner (or socket and ratchet) to disconnect the negative terminal.

    How Can U Tell?

...Shame it was wet eh? I won't go off-topic. I think my original post was adequate enough without the milk and bread analogy's :P

This is true. But not everyone is as clued up on daily shopping lists as people like us! P.s. what track is that in your avatar?

    How Can U Tell?

I bet you've still run out of bread and milk though, haven't you Salami? On a more serious note, no, infact it's totally the opposite. If you get caught with bald tyres, the police man/woman would enjoy punishing you for being free on a night they are working. Or, if your brakes go metal to...

    Problem locking car

It probably needs a couple of keys re-programming. Only other thing I suggest you try yourself, is dis-connect the battery for 10-20minutes to let various items discharge. Can sometimes cure bogus faults like these...Or, a key-reprog is on the cards at least I should imagine (assume...

    How Can U Tell?

There will be more sufficeint guides online how to check these with pretty diagrams, but a simple check for both would be: - Tyres - Each tyre will have a legal tread wear indicator on them and these can be found in the big grooves running round the circumference of the tyre. If your tread...

    passanger seat wont lift up

By lift up, I assume you mean 'tilt/slide' for rear passenger access? If so, lift the handle up and look underneith it. You will see one single Torx20 screw. Undo this and easily remove the handle. Then, two further T20 screws are holding the base of the handle down. You should see the cable...

    Radio Code

No problem. Sent you a Private Message with the code. If you need a hand in entering it, or if it's wrong get back to me. It does describe how to enter it in your handbook/radio handbook. P.s. have you had your cambelt changed? Your car was registered in September 02, which means it...
