Alright people, Recently replaced my standard front components with the Pioneer TS-Q131C Renault replacements. Nice and easy install which took about half an hour and I'm quite impressed but I've now decided to amp them. The issue is they don't come with crossovers and I guess I'm right in...

Anyone changed their front components in a mk3 yet? I'm also looking in to replacing them........or would it just be worth amping them?

I took mine in for its first service last month. 7000miles on the clock had it for a year now. Cost me about 70quid at a bosch garage.

I agree with thejoose, music doesn't sound nearly as good without a sub. It has no where near the amount of depth. As for the weight issue, there are plenty of shallow subs around which produce a good amount of bass.
