Got a bit more done to the Clio yesterday starting with getting the Sabelt seat in. Couple of bars welded into the floor to bolt the subframe too, bit of fiddling and hey presto seat fitted!
My OMP harness came with the little eyelets so got them in and harness fitted up, possible harness bars...
Been doing little jobs on the Clio here and there when I get the time, had been having trouble with my drivers xenon not working so after a bit of investigation I got a new ballast and a pair of new bulbs in and all working again. Fitted quick fix bumper kit and tinted my fogs yellow along with...
Lately just been driving the Clio, gathering little bits for it. A friend had some coilovers sitting in his garage doing nothing so I picked them up from him, and with it being my day off work today I went out to my workshop and got cracking with them...
As it was when I got to the workshop...
Yay! Good news, the horrific tail lights are gone and replaced by standard items with chrome indicator bulbs.
Next up hopefully coilovers, a good clean and more de-chaving.
It's been many years since I last owned a Clio, it started way back when I purchased my first car a 1.2 mk1 Clio, then through time I got myself a mk1 valver and loved the little thing!
I decided to sell the valver to my girlfriend at the time and long story short she did a runner with...
It has a different manifold on it... the heat sheald is lower down to compensate for the new manifold. Not sure what kind it is as it was on the car when i baught it.
New wheels soon as the current wheels ain't in that good a state.
And a new grill will be coming as the mesh looks crap.
Fired the Valver up this morning and to my surprise after starting the RPM instead of dropping to its usual idle point... dropped and the car cut out.
Tryed to start it up a few times with the same result.
Any able to shed some light on this?
Could this need a replacement Air Flow Meter...
I have a L plate valver and am wondering what the best grade of oil to use would be?
At the moment i have 10w 40 but not 100% sure if that's best grade to be using.
Any input appreciated.

I was with elephant for my 205GTi... and my Cavvy GSi was paying something like 100 bucks a month for the Cavvy for the 2 months i had it....
Transfered the insurance onto my Valver 30 quid cheaper than the Cavvy.
Im 18 no-noclaim. Thaught that was damn good
mate andrew has a mark1 172 and has it replacing the fog light but has replaced the otherside with a dummy air feed aswell looks damn good instead of having only one foggie
got my new alloys on saturday got them put on was prety chuffed until i took the car for a spin, on braking and acceleratong the car pulls away not just a little but the wheel turns itself, so sunday took the car to have the traking done, traking was 3mm out so i thot this would be the end of it...
