Im having problems with my annoying b*****d renault dealer, there f**king useless! there saying my front brakes are binding, but i took the car somewhere else and they tested it and it was fine!!! and also my cv joint on the nearside keeps coming loose and the clip keeps coming off and because...
Started my car today and it was idling at 1.5/2000 revs which i thought was pretty high, anyway it only did it for a few minutes then it calmed down again! is this anything to worry about?:S

Nearly spun my car on two roundabouts yesterday in the rain, it turns out that there was oil/grease on the road which is why i almost lost control, the front end gripped really well as i turned into the roundabout but the backend fishtailed out and i had to countersteer to avoid spinning, scared...

Has any tried this new fuel, a new total garage was biult up the road from me and its french, sells a new fuel called total excilliam or something and its better than optimax in my opinion,put £30 and my car is flying (not litterally) its 97 ron, but i think its french fuel,which cant be bad can...

Is this worth getting, really? i dont want my car being too loud but i want a performance gain, so just wondered if anyone could tell me if this would be worth getting?

if i put wider profile tyres on my 172 on the front and left the back tyres as normal would this be ok or would it mess up handling etc.
So 205/45/r16 at the front and 195/45/r16 at the back?

Bought a full set of goodridge braided brake lines fro k-tec for my 02 172, started fitting them yesterday, did the fronts fine but when i got to the back i found out they dont fit as theres nothing to connect them too, the orginal brake lines are crimped and dont screw in like the fronts.
So...
cant find the brake fluid bottle on ny 02 172 anywhere, it says its between the coolant and power steering fluid but theres nothing there where the bottle should be?
Just spent £300.00 on my brakes, ive bought
1) 4 X Goodridge Braided Brake Lines
2) Castrol Super DOT 4 Brake Fluid
3) 2 X NEW Front Renault Discs (Mine are about worn)
4) 2 X NEW Front Ferrodo DS2500 Brake Pads
5) 2 X NEW Rear EBC Kevlar Pads
and finally ive bought some 172 cup springs...
Just got some cup springs for £40.00 for my 172 2002, just wondered how much lower they are than the standard 172 springs and much firmer? basically are they that much different or not?

can someone tell what the best brake fluid to use is in a clio 172 2002? road use only not for tack use!
Ive also bought some ferrodo ds2500 front pads are these pads ok for road use? or are they just for racing track use?:dapprove:

Cant decide what to go for. either the 172 mk2 20mm eibachs or the 30mm eibachs?, im thinking 20mm because i dont want to change the look of the car, but does anyone know where else i can get them beside k-tec who charge an outragoues £160.00?!!!
