yes to the 12v question and provided the car hasn't been butchered, it should have iso connection as standard, only thing you'll need is a ariel adapter as the renault one is a bit different. hth
It's for the immobiliser, if the key won't unlock/un-imobilize, then you switch on ignition, push stalk button number of times for the first digit of you code and so on, then you can start the car.
Once you've disarmed it after it going off, switch on you ignition and the led will flash a set number of times, this will tell you where the fault is,
2 flashes= Optional sensors
3 flashes= Doors(-)
4 flashes Boot/Bonnet
5 flashes Doors (+)
6 flashes Ultrasonic Sensors
7 flashes Ignition

Toad Ai606, cat 1 alarm and immob, had mine fitted for £220, that was just as it came, can add knock sensors, proximity, boot pop, total closure etc. Bloke who fitted mine works in a 100 mile radius from dudley. HTH
Blue one? hmm ahh possibly for the lights on feature (dims display on original unit) unless it's on the new HU, then that's usually for the electric aereil/amp feed wire, hth

I work for Vauxhall (yeah, I know), I'd go for an Astra estate 1.9 Cdti, 150 bhp, good economy and if you go for the Sxi spec you get uber comfy seats, that's my twopence,
Like them a lot, second order from me if;
A) You can do them for a Ph3 (with seprate Oil pressure, Oiltemp and amount.
B) Make them glow intense blue like VW
C) Reasonable price
Cheers.
It's to manually disarm the immobiliser, ignition on, foot down on gas, push button until the first number of your imobiliser code comes up, foot off gas, foot back on gas and repeat the button pushes. HTH
I too have an RSi, cracking little motor, yes, a valver's quicker, but it is also dearer to insure and looks a bit "wide boy" for my tastes.Don't think I'll ever get rid.
Send me a pm with your email address and I'll send them to you, there not perfect as my scanner's fubbered, so I've used my camera, but they should help.
