errrrr okay cheers I'll try and be more specific, as I've never done this before
can I get the pump out from the hole under the rear bench?
how do I undo the pump/take it off the tank?
cheers
TBH I've had the seat up and the gritty noise is coming from under it, ie. fuel pump area, doesnt sound as nice and smooth as it should
I'm gonna check all the relays tomorrow as I'm off work, is there anything I should be looking for in particular??
also does anyone know which relay it is...
Before I go and shell out a wedge for a new fuel pump, I'd like to make sure there is nothing else that could possibly be at fault.
the car is a 2002 1.6 16v clio, k4m engine
for a while when I start it its been spluttery, lately the pump priming noise has become very gritty sounding, and it...
cheers guys, sorry the reply has taken so long, dont often come on here

did flash you but yiou were lookin the other way
recognised the YOJ on the reg and a CS sticker
Lovin that megane, didnt realise they were the dynamique wheels till it was mentioned, they do look a bit odd, but in a good way, bra looks wierd but each to thier own. Clio looks amazin, silver with anthracite is a good combo!!
its swings and roundabouts really, I have a k&n panel filter on my clio and it does make it a tad more responsive, and give a tiny bit of extra grunt on the motorway etc it is only a tiny bit.
Panel filters usually give better gains than something like a 57i kit because as already side they...
Cheers Gmk1, good to see there are some more 1.6 16vs out there, had a hard job finding a good one when I was buying, rare as rocking horse s**t apparently round bristol

Okay I'm a bit of a newbi on here, just thought I'd share a few pix of my ride, a 1.6 16v clio, its pretty much standard at the moment. Have got a k&n panel filter fitted, and a spax non-adjustable kit on the way too, need to find a de-cat this year too
on location
engine bay
after a polish...
172 wheels go really well on the R5, prob is they also go really well on the clio!! clio looks a bit 4x4, wheels would look a lot better if it was slammed, but as you said that on the cards.
Agree the wheels are too big, must have killed the acceleration on a 1.2??
like the 16v badges on the rear 1/4s, looks different, and black and tinted always looks good :)
WTF???????
If you threw a can of tango at a shopping trolley you could end up with a better result, and why o why on top of all of it have bright blue mudflaps??
Some people should have been put down at birth
lol that would defo stand out!!
What colour are your badges atm?? assuming they're not quite that bright
green is a random colour and tbh it wouldnt look good on many car colours inc silver, IMO black or anthractite look best on silver cars
lol looks a bit battered mate, not big scrap heap in the sky time yet tho
was me that put an RSC flier on you a while back , sorry :)
What dept u work for?
Dunno who it is, but someone who works at the RAC in aztec west, bristol
Battered looking valver in 449 (IIRC) blue, cliosport sticker in the rear window.
Who ever you are HI, I'm the guy with the silver mk2 clio with the RSC stickers, work in the travel dept.
Budj:cool:
Cheers guys, wondered if it was gonna be more hastle that its worth, but hey it never hurts to ask!!
Have already got newish discs and mintex pads on the front, so I'm gonna go buy some mintex shoes for the rear and leave the drums
Thanks one and all :D :D :D
Okay guys I've got an 02 plate clio 1.6 16v Dynamique
Looking at upgrading the rear drum brakes to discs for a little bit of extra stopping power,
Can anyone tell me exactly what I'll need to do the job, ie parts and any special tools????
The idea is still in the pipeline at the moment but...
Cheers edde, didnt think it would be quite as easy as just changing the wheels, mite keep her the way she is and save for the CS, I like the fact that everyone looks at it and assumes its a 1.2 clio, then get really puzzled when they have problems getting past it lol, mite even get 1.2 side...
