Just out of curiosity, does this job require the gearbox out? I've got a local garage doing the job who I know I can trust and have already briefed them on the job. I don't want them stinging me on labour costs!!!! Thanks for the advice

As per title, Have a 172 and looking to paint inlet manifold around the badge (engraving....whatever the right word is?) What is the best paint to use? does it have to be heat resistant?? I've seen pics where people have painted the background on the manifold and chromed/polished the writing...

that's not remapping an ecu, thats having it chipped. I want my car set up to suit my modifications whilst engine is running on rolling road by skilled mechanic/engineer playing with fuelling and timing and whatever else he may do to get the most out of the engine
