standard 200sx s14a 155mph (limiter) and then when modded about 5 secs 9-60.
Clio 1.8 16v top speed about 130mph (actually accurate speedo according to my tomtom v2 gps unit :D). No idea what 0-60 for it but slow.

You can get T28's from 200sx's S13/s14/s14a/s15's if that helps.
You can also get a brand new gt28r (ball bearing) which can give about 330 max bhp for around £550 if you look around in the UK. If you buy an s15 dual ball bearing turbo from Australia, it may be even cheaper :)

There is no point and no value in going to a dealership anymore unless your car is still in warranty.
They don't give a damn about service and reputation (which will earn you more custom long term), they only care about trying to make maximum profit for little effort, hence why they don't...
Wouldn't trust them at all. Take it to a decent garage.
Also on mk1's, it seems that the biggest problem is bad routing of cables. (why oh why didn't they use a hydraulic clutch

Did try and reply got the server stuffed it up
so briefly:
1) Yeah I will miss it like mad. I really like my car and wouldn't have got rid of it if I didn't need money for wedding/debt/house etc.
2) Are you on SX OC?
3) It's gutting to know that the clio will never be able to come...
Getting married in May so not interested, and don't need to pick up ladies on line anyway
Always the same on car forums though, ladies get hounded at first, then either get scared off, or settle in nicely.
Just bear with it tara, will work out well :)

Hi guys,
Does anyone know the approximate cost of Mk1 Ph1 1.8 16v headlights and taillights? (headlights are height adjustable from inside car, and the rears are smoked at the bottom from renault).
Oh and 2 new front fog lights as they work, but the glass is cracked/shattered
Just want to...
I actually quite like the lights as they almost match, I don't normally, I think its the bonnet that swings it and helps blend them in.
Anyway... can you get projector front lights like that with a more OEM style lens for the Mk1 (i.e. not clear but with that spanish glass kinda look).
I ask...
Why is 330 unreasonable? The Nissan s14/s14a has 197bhp as standard on a 2litre engine. Given a gt28r, 555 injectors and a remap it will hit 330 bhp.
Not sure you have a proper understanding of turbo engines and what you can do with them.
EDIT: Just read the spec. I'm suprised it isn't...
Photobucket should provide you with a URL or IMG link to cut and paste so you can show images on here.
I've just joined with a Mk1 1.8 16v as well a couple days ago... so I know you'll be welcome :)

I would say that the polish 'does' nothing :rasp: and polish is a cleaner, not a protector. I think you mean can you 'wax' do that? but it would still 'do' nothing.
Anyway... i think someone got short changed because is it was real teflon the water wouldn't sit at all  (just...
I will investigate more... currently looking for the reason why the blower won't work... in the rain  (Looking for the resistor unit but can't find it for the mk1 hehe)
Matthew
Its not heavy. I just don't like having to push it ALL the way down to engage the darn thing. Sounds silly, but if I don't get the clutch down "just right" with the tip of my shoe, it won't go all the way down. I'm not being a wimp, i just like a clutch that 'catches' higher up.

I have had similar on a mini. The cable frayed and jammed inside the sheathing, causing it to level out at 80mph. I had to switch off the ignition every time i needed to stop, as I was unable to get it free.
So check cable :) Only very cheap to buy :)

HIC and 29 years old with about 8 years (maybe more) no claims :)
Not sure what they are like with mod's though as yet. Luckily the car is near standard with only clear indicators and a shiny gear knob (think i will spray it black lol)

Just sold the 200sx and got a mk1 1.8 16v.
Fully comp, protected no claims, unlimited milage, salvage retention rights, £250 excess and windscreen replacement (plus a few other nice things), I was paying around £550 a year on a group 18 car at 2 years old with HIC (I had to haggle with them...
Cool :) Will look out for some as I thought my lights were pretty bad on my 1998 nissan with projectors until I found how dim the clio's are lol.
Defo want to get xenon's or the phillips ones.

If it helps, nankangs are known as ditchfinders for RWD cars. I would not fit them if you value your safety (same as p6000's in the wet in small cars.... lethal under braking).
Oh and don't get Silverstone racing tyres either.
Falken 452's (or 451's if you can still find some) are very good...
Why would you "want" to buy such a new car with known damage?
It will make it more difficult to sell on meaning you will most likely have a higher depreciation rate. It's a losing battle, don't buy it. If it was a below 2 grand car and older then maybe, but for 8k no way, your RISKING a lot...
Cheers sami :)
I've had my nissan in bits with turbo's in and out, full suspension done, boost controllers wired up, brake conversions etc, so I'm not afraid to get hands dirty :)
Will take a look at resistor tomorrow for the blower.
The hand brake actually is not working very well so that...
