Make sure that you have sanded/filed back the surface that the earth is touching.

I screwed it into the metalwork behind the door card and then sound deadened the panel and door card to make it seem a little more sturdy. Sounds good enough to me but im sure some people have gone to more extreme measures...

hi, ive been replacing my front springs and now when i come to put the suspension unit back on the car it is too low to be boled back to the hub.. i guess it needs compressing but the spring compressors do not fit when its in its mounting.... any ideas how to get it back on? its not lowered...

haha, some people are just such idiots.. i can never understand how they think its worth doing petty crimes like that (morals aside as thats obviously not high on their priority list). I had my CD player nicked which was worth about £20 new.. it just baffles me how they think its worth the risk...

Make sure the earth is touching bare metal, you have to file/sandpaper the surface you attatch it to...

It doesnt come off cleanly im afraid.. just have to cut it off. Just make sure the replacement gearnob is a pull up reverse one!

its definately one to do yourself.. cost £30, found someone who was breaking apart a clio on friday-ad.co.uk.. simple clip in motor inside the fuel tank, doesnt even need to be exactly the same.

sounds like a fuel problem.. i replaced a faulty fuel pump just the other day, you find in in the tank - check its pumping..? should be able to hear a high pitched whine when trying to start the engine from under the rear seats, below the big black grommit...?
