When changing my steering wheel I managed to somehow damange the white airbag connector within the steering wheel assembly. Is there a way to simply turn off the warning lights without replacing the wire? As it's very expensive! Cheers, Dan

IMO 4G (LTE) wont be available on any network until at least the latter part of 2010. Having witnessed an LTE trial though (HD quality video streaming!!) its going to be worth the wait! Maybe a 4G iphone for xmas 2010... who knows!

Is it not simply because they've spent a small fortune buying the kit, and cant afford to spray it.... for a few months any way lol. When I had my first car, I kitted it up (mk5 escort > full cossie kit). But didnt drive it till it was 100% finished, just couldnt take the shame of driving...

With the new key it's solid..... old key some times flash some times solid. Remove decoder ring... flashes However, fiddled with the decoder ring a tad (twisted it round the barrel) and its working....... ho hum! can only be the decoder ring i guess?!

Ok nightmare... New key, fine for a week not a single problem then today its given up... completly! Both keys same problem, although my older one tends to make the light flash more often than just go solid red. I've taken the dash apart and fiddled with the receive that fits around the...

Just had a mobile automotive locksmith come to my house and cut me a brand new key, genuine renault fob and coded for a grand total of £80! Took 5 mins and didnt even have to leave the house :) Just hope this cures my immob not de-activating problem! Fingers crossed! (old key worked fine...

Pete - everthing ok still? I've changed my TDC sensor and replaced those relays you mention but still have the same problem every now and then! Time for a new key?

Thanks guys. My connections must be different, has no amount of pulling will prise them apart. Look like a plastic saftey connection that has to be prised apart!? will post a pic later if i still have no joy!

I've got as far as unclipping the airbag from the wheel, but how do the electric connections disconnect? They look very fragile and dont want to brake them. Do you sqeeze either side of them or pop them with a scew driver? Also, the main T50 bolt in the centre, haynes says you need to replace...

Battery is fine as it was tested only a few weeks ago at a garage. Just changed the TDC, still same problem although its only happened once in the last few days... What to change next?

Also possibly TDC sensor? Anyone?? please need help :(

The following problem comes and goes but has recently got worse: Sometimes when turning on ignition the immob light flashes and does not go out. Taking the key out and trying again SOMETIMES solves this but not always. Othertimes it will just keep flashing, and sometimes it will just stay on...

After changing the front struts on my clio succsefully I stuck the wheels back on for a test drive.... and managed to shear one of them! Was'nt even putting much force on it either!? Now how the hell do i sort this ?!

Got to replace the front struts on my DCI later this week. Whats this job like to do on a Clio guys? Done it before on other cars without a problem, but are there any hidden problems that the haynes manual doesnt mention? Looks easy enough looking at the manual.... famous last words!!!

Will do! Glow plugs already changed, I think the manifold has to come off to sort the air leak.... going to be expensive! Passed on everything else though :)

My DCI failed on the MOT smoke test. it got 3.62 m-1 what ever that is. The car has an air leak somewhere between the turbo and inlet, would this be causing the bad emissions reading. Or would it be a dodgy egr valve? Dan

The plastic box is the UCH. On mine there was two relay connection terminals which hook onto the UCH at the back. Neither had relays in (must have fallen out at some point). Popped a relay in and fogs worked. There was obvious wiring going to these terminal blocks though (separate from the UCH...

I had same problem, relay on the back of the UCH was faulty. Hope this helps.

Any ideas? Haynes says UCH but only have a fog light relay located on the rear of the UCH

Where is this located? Its not on the back of the UCH in my car (DCI) only the front fog relay is here. Is it inside the UCH? this appears to have a cover, can this be taken off without upsetting it? Or is it located elsewhere? Cheers, Dan

I see what your saying, but does the light not work off the same fuel level sensor as the gauge? They must work off different readings surley? Ie. if i drive more spiritedly should this not be reflected in both the fuel gauge and eventually the fuel light... not just one or the other lol.
