My old clio lock used to just spin if the key wasnt fully in, i had to spin it back till it was lined back up, takee key out and make sure it was fully back in

Hi, did you manage to track down the cause of this? mine is doing what i think is the same thing from the passenger side, when going over bumps amd pulling away, clicking type ticking, happens for the same amount of time, every time (1 sec ish) and can hear it from inside. Matt

Has already been said just get another off ebay for a fiver. Mine was the same. I did take the wiper arm off as it came of pretty easy, and you get slightly more room to lift back scuttle panel, just pull up on pump, will come off with a bit of force, unplug wires and hoses noting which goes...

Thanks for the reply now, lock to lock there is a creaking sound but is more of a scraping creak whereas the suspension is a squeaky creak. It does sound like the drivers seat or the dash but like I say when I open the window can hear it aswel I have also just notice the brakes squeak even...
