Re: Ultra Red 200 ordered.
Im not a fan of red cars, but i think it loooks sooooo much better in the red. So good choice, and nice spec too;). Altho me personally, wouldve picked the Cup Spoiler.
Howdy all.
I was a full, paid member on here a few years back. Went to a meet or two also, some good folk on here! Anyways sold my 05 Clio 182 Non Cup back in 2009, and after some faffing about online a few years later i have came across it for sale on Ebay at £2995 and Now in England.
Here it...
Cheers for the advice guys. It was through Arnold Clark in Glenrothes. Car was up at £4295. He said he would refurb the alloys, give 6 months road tax, do a full service and cambelt change, plus give 2 free services and m.o.t tests within ownership for £4500. To be honest it was an alright deal...
Thanks guys. Always could count on sound advice on here. So would i be looking for it at around £3.5k as it is? Or £3800-with tax and cambelt included?
Thinking of returning to Clio ownership, was a full member on here a year ago ownig a clio 182, been to the odd meet.
Anyways ive been offered a 2003 "53" Clio 172 Cup, In V.G.C, full alloy wheel refurb. Mostly a Renault s/h with only 42k miles. Mot'd Jan 2011 and no tax. 3 owners since new...
The Clio 182 i had owned for around 6 months, and only lost a couple of hundred pounds, which isnt bad esp considering i bought it from a dealer with a warranty and then i sold it to a dealer. Canceled my insurance-so got a refund. The celica was less then the 182, so had left over cash and was...
At the start of this year i sold my 05 plate Clio 182, i then purchased a 00'X reg Celica 140 vvti, which i sold about a month later. I then purchased a 99'V Honda Accord Type R, which i had for about 6 months and just recently sold. I then purchased a 52reg Peugeot 206 gti 140 which i had for...
Well, well, well. I finally decided to take on this guys offer. From more or less a rolling start, i was ahead, by quite a bit to. On a second run, from a rolling start, he was ahead by about 2-3 car lenghts. Straight road btw.
Im seemed like a clean enough example, but after getting mt ATR more or less how i would want i thought i would be daft swapping it, only to change the clio to how i would want it.
I actually saw this tonight, looks alot better in the flesh however not a fan of the wheels, good clean straight paint, and the car pulls very well too. As for the cambelt, it does look like a new one on it but there isnt any reciepts to show this. Im currently thinking it over wether to swap or...
Thanks for the feedback guys, yes the ATR weights around 1380kg and is approx 209bhp, and revs to around 8000rpm. And it was purely based on a straight line drag race idea. The CTR is 198bhp.
Well believe it or not, through a "private back road" ive saw of a Focus ST-3, on a "private long stretch of road" ive gave a megane 225, and the new Leon Cupra R a run for there money, was maybe half a car lenght in it either way.
Another one of these "vs" topics. Just out of curiosity, and previously being a Clio 182 owner, from a rolling start in a straight line, will a 172 Cup beat an ATR? This particular cup has been lowered, and has a cat back s/s exhaust, suspected to be cammed but unsure of that. My ATR has been...
