Ive unhooked the cable from the pedal inside the car. But when I go the engine bay and try to pull it through the grommet, the round end on the wire cable wont come through no matter how hard I pull... Or does the wire cable not have to come through the grommet, does the grommet come off as...

Thats what im expecting it to start doing. Ive heard in this case the throttle body just needs cleaning out with a bit of carb cleaner but its a b**ch to get at.

I shall check this now and report back. EDit: nope, fuse box is dry as a bone, and white plus looks fine, not washed under the bonnet though.

Cheers Guys, i suppose with the car showing no symptoms it could be a number of things and no way of really knowing until i pay the £30? Might leave it until i start to get some symptoms then ill be able to have a go at fixing it myself as it will be eaiser to highlight the problem.

I personally dont see what the problem is, i know people who have for example bought a brand new mini, finance over three years with only £500 deposit, minimum gaurenteed value at the end meaning the car is worth £2000 more than the outstanding loan. Do this a few times and you'll own a car...

Please don't ruin it with aftermarket seats, aftermarket steering wheel with bodged buttons and Chav HID's. Spend the money on getting the belts done and if you must, fit some OEM Xenon headlights, Treadlines and source a genuine splitter.:(

First come with the money, first serve at the end of the day. Yeh i noticed it needed a splitter, overdue a service too and its the belts one. Make sure you get them done :)

As much as ive had enough of my mini after only a few months due to no 'fun factor' id say get the GP as id still love one .

Already though about 225's but it would be older, higer mileage and not as well spec'd as the clio, ie no sach's dampers, recaros etc. I even got an insurance quote and it was only £9 a month more than my mini.

Might just be my experience then, i put Coilovers on my Mini and it nearly fell apart,lol.

This is the other option but it just seems that as soon as you change anything from standard your just asking fro trouble and you immetiately take away the OEM feel. After years of modifying i think i need a car thats good out the box.

Already going Tenerife in March and Turkey in June and not long been back from Africa, i get my fair share of holidays. :cool:
