Afternoon
On my cup, the previous owner has cable tied the rear brake bias, I presume to get through the MOT (eventhough it should pass anyway). I want to remove this so I get the full cup experience, is it as simple as just cutting the cable tie? is there nothing else to it?
Cheers
A mate of mine has just about bought a 182 in what looks like the same colour as my car, mondial blue 172 cup. Did the 182 come in this colour?
Also it had a silver painted gear knob and trim, worried it may have been resprayed.
Cheers in advance
Now then Chaps, my exhaust on the Cup has developed a slight blow that is getting worse by the day (or I'm noticing it more).
Having trawled through the site it seems the Yozzasport ones are reccomended, so I'm thinking of getting the stealth one.
Has anyone bought an exhaust from them, if so...
Bit of advice please, had the cup for 1 year now, loving it, its done 45K miles, I was wondering when I should change the suspension? I'm think the dampers and bushes, things that wear after a time.
I remember my 106GTI feeling loads better once I changed the rear suspension bushes.
Not sure...
This kept happening with my 106GTI in Sheffield. Ended up taking out the locks and just using the central locking button. Never had anymore trouble and only cost 70 quid. Maybe worth a look.
A mate of mine looked into getting an M5, looked at the running costs and they were similar to a Ferrari of similar age (I think that's right anyway).
So beware
Anyone know of a decent paint/body shop in or around Sheffield?
I have a rather large scratch that appeared from no where, looks like something dragged along it, poss by accident as its not deep at all, so I don't think it was on purpose.
Still a bloody pain.

A lot of people are banging on about Uniroyal Rainsport 2, but that's for a range of different motors.
Welcome
Great choice, had mine 6 weeks now, the bumpy roads of Sheffield do annoy, but once you have a clear road the smile on my face is endless.
Hope you find a good un.
I'm 33 and I'm paying more for my Cup, think the postcode ain't the best.
Is the cup worth it? Never driven a 172, but as soon as I drive the Cup on a good road the fact I don't have a few creature comforts isn't a problem. Lot cheaper to run too without ac.
The sodding bonnet on my clio 172 wont open, pulling the interior bonnet release works but when you press the lever under the bonnet its a no go. Can it be fixed easy?
Is this a common problem? My mates sisters standard clio did the samething.
Cheers
Need a bit of advice if poss
Have just purchased a clio 172 cup which has 38K on the clock. Having read the buying guide on this site it says that the Aux belt needs changing at 36K. Now I'm not sure if this has been done, can't see a receipt for it, but it has been fully serviced. Would it...
