    Curry smell

I had a friend throw up in one of my air vents. Not the 182 thank god, but my first car. Never did get it out either. I think all Air-Con smells bad if you dont use it for long periods. The company Astra I was driving prior to getting the 182 used to reek of long-dead small furry animal...

    New Racing Blue 182

Ah, so thats what the hammocks for! I might wrap it round the passenger seat to keep any loose fitting people in when Im <ahem> testing the suspension. ;) Ill try the suggestion for the mileage when I go out later. Failing that, I suppose I could always consult the manual. :cry...

    hi

Hi there! Dont know much about the new style Clios (despite now owning one), so my somewhat useless advice would be to sell it and buy a valver! ;)

new 182 arrived- splitter and tray

Congratulations on picking up an excellent motor. Of course, my opinion is somewhat biased, as I picked my brand new one up today as well! Mine had the splitter attached, and Ive been over a few speed bumps today only to find it still attached and apparently undamaged! And as for the tray...

    New Racing Blue 182

Well after suffering greatly in a borrowed 1.7td AstraVan for the last couple of months, I finally picked up my lovely new Racing Blue 182 (with the Competition Stripes, oh yeah!) today. Id post pictures, but it just looks like any other brand new 182! All I can say it that shes a beautiful...

    Krisy Kreme

Small world, I work just up the road from Southgate in New Barnet (right under the big ol gas holders). Southgate has a great McDs, and thats about all I can really say about it as I only visit once a year or so for breakfast!

    Bad Week for Cars

Well, a very bad week and a day, but that doesnt sound so snappy. ;) All started last Thursday when I ran my Clio round to the MOT centre to get its yearly scrap of paper. I drove the car the long way there to give it a bit of a run, dropped it off, walked the couple of miles home, had a...

Did you buy a bargain Clio

I paid £1450 for my 1993 valver with 55k on the clock, leather interior etc and actually a pretty all round tidy car. I felt it was a bargain! Especially 30 minutes after I collected her when I hit 7000rpm for the first time :D

    removing door handles

Ive been thinking the same thing for the last two week! I keep looking at the handles, too cautious to just start taking things apart yet too proud to refer to the Haynes Book of Lies! One spanner job my arse...

    BACK TO BLACK

I use that Williams (cough cough) silicon based gel from (evil) Halfords. Comes in a silver plastic bottle. It seems to restore the black colour to the trim rather than polishing over the top of the faded plastic.

    Hiya all i’m new !! :):):):)

I only just clambered in through the Cliosport door myself, but welcome anyway! ;) My insurance at 18 - 19 on a 93 1.8RT was only £700 odd TPFT and now at 21 with a 93 valver (including quite hefty mods) its only £525 FC this year so Clios really are easy to insure! And thats in Essex...

    Introduction...

The race is on! Im working 7 days a week to try and finance the next stage of tuning. Ive spent a bit over £3500 so far I think with the various works, and after driving the car for the first time considered it a proper bargain! I cant belive I nearly purchased a deisel astra instead of my...

She does indeed have enough torque to tug mountains around! Not that Im shamelessly proud or anything! ;) Ill get some pictures up once the weather clears and I can keep the car clean for more than 10 minutes at a time. Are there details for the Bluewater meet up on the site? Work allowing...
