Disabling a 182 on the drive

Hi, My 182 is awaiting sale at the moment and will be on the drive until it sells. I plan to disconnect the battery and was wondering if there's anything else I can do to further immobilise it? Short of sticking it on stands and taking the front wheels off (which is probably the best option...

    Turini's powder coated.

Bit of a bump for this. Unfortunately this hasn't lasted. Admitedly I did make contact with a kerb in the snow and also get caught out by another in the dry with the window down (that noise :headno:). The rear right is flaking off the back of the wheel and bubbling slightly and the front two...

Are Hankook V12's still rated? or are there more favourable options?

Cheers guys, Will stick with them until the rears need doing.

Are Hankook V12's still rated? or are there more favourable options?

Hi Guys, I've got V12's on all 4 corners at the moment. Fresh on February last year and I've done around 15-16k since and the fronts aren't far off the markers with some of the outer edges looking a litte shagged. My MOT is due on Thursday and I figured with the impending autumnal rain...

    Exhaust Alignment

Hi, Replaced my rear mounts today but my exhaust is still sat about 1" lower than it should be. (Miltek) Should I just buy the universal mount and fit it inside the brackets or is there an adjustment that can be made? Thanks, Ben

Thanks, Ideally I'm just looking for something I can apply to stop any corrosion if such a thing exists?

    Kurbed wheel treatment

A while back a local garage did a bit of damage to one of my turini's that had been recently refurbed  You can make out the damage here. Is it best to treat this with something? as it is effectively bare metal. Thanks, Ben

    Canceling Sky+

Called after my first year a few months ago and got £7 off my £35 bill for six months just by asking. I plan to call frequently and get the best deal possible! I guess if you really want to cancel, just tell em straight.

    172 & 182 Seats - the same fitment?

Hi, Could someone confirm if 172/182 seat fitment is of the same design? I have some aftermarket seats for sale and have been questioned if they'll fit into a 172. Logic tells me that they will and that the chassis/seat mounts are the same but just want to be sure. Thanks, Ben

Squeak from passenger side of cabin/footwell

Right, this was boiling my **** for the last time today! Predominantly when cold, although not always when cold, and driving over any rough ground (enough to cause a bit of movement within the car) I get a squeaking sound that sounds a bit like a mouse coming from somewhere around the front...

    Advice - Cams, Decat, Inlets?

Hi, Would appreciate if someone in the know would be able to help clue me up on how theses mods increase performance? (In laymans terms) I'm planning on a custom remap at matched inlets at 519 in the near future with and noticed the Option 1 Cam & Matched Inlets package. I know that that...

How to Actuate ABS system/remove air from brakes.

As I thought, needed bleeding again. My local garage obviously weren't doing it properly as a **** tonne of air came out the back right. All sorted thanks to Dan at 519, top bloke.

How to Actuate ABS system/remove air from brakes.

Have had the pump kick in a few times but haven't rebled since. Not going to have time before tomorrow but will update this thread with whatever the solution was.

How to Actuate ABS system/remove air from brakes.

Thanks for your suggestions. I put new discs, pads and lines on. Have spoken to Dan at 519 and will be popping over on Friday evening. He did mention a caliper could have been pushed back slightly too far. Yeah they're still standard calipers.

How to Actuate ABS system/remove air from brakes.

Following on from my other thread my local specialist haven't been able to fully rectify my spongy brake pedal. I have bite now but still too much pedal travel. I'm going to buy another Eezibleed kit and plenty of fluid and have another stab at it msyelf, I think my old kit had a leak. If...

    Another Cruise Control issue...

My cruise isn't retrofitted but have had the same problem (green & orange lights on but just Set ---. When I fitted a refurbished steering wheel it worked intermittently but would have to press the buttons hard and they were sometimes unresponsive, which points to a dodgy connection somewhere...

    Bleeding Brakes - 182 - now spongy

Having just checked with the engine off if I pump the brake the pedal firms up nicely but actually still has about an inch of play in it which leads me to believe there is still air in the lines. With the engine on, the brakes bit but are pretty much almost at the end of the travel for the brake...

    Bleeding Brakes - 182 - now spongy

Had the local Renault specialist sort this for me this morning. They bite now but there's about an inch or two of play in the pedal before I get any resistance. Has always been much nearer to the top. Is there a fix for this?

    Coolant Low - slight leak?

I did think this could have been drainage from the scuttle panel. I'll have look and see if I can spot any splits or leaks. About 3 or 4 months ago I topped the tank up with some water which has dropped a bit since. I'd prefer to top it up again and see how quickly it drops. Would some summer...

    Coolant Low - slight leak?

I noticed that my coolant level was below the minimum level yesterday when doing my brakes. The engine temp is normal at the moment. I also spotted this inside the passenger arch: I was planning on topping up the coolant until I can get a garage to look at it but am not sure which type of...

    Bleeding Brakes - 182 - now spongy

As I thought then thanks. Would the traditional method of having a hobo dance on the pedal and keeping an eye on the reservoir work all the air out the system? If I buy another litre of fluid and just flush it all through should that do the trick? Which order would you recommend bleeding or...

    Bleeding Brakes - 182 - now spongy

So I fitted new discs, front & back and also new pads DS2500's front and back and also put on braided lines. I did this before on my last 182 and used a Gunsons EZ-bleed kit which worked perfectly. However this time the pipe inside the Gunsons reservoir appeared to have fallen off after I'd...

    Squeaking Passenger Side 182

I have a squeak in mine, normally when cold. At first I thought it was the dash or an airvent but when cleaning the interior I was sat in the drivers seat leant with my arm on the bolster of the passenger seat and was getting the same squeaking side. When I have time I'll have a look around to...

    Cruise Not Working

I have dropped the car in for a service and asked them to have a look to see if they could identify the problem. Diagnostics hasn't returned anything at all. They were suggesting it could well be the buttons or a connection there. I can use a guide to get the steering wheel off myself and see...

    Turini's powder coated.

£50 per wheel plus VAT. I had my tyres delivered there which was handy. It's a powder laquer, I'm told, which is more durable and should last longer/be stronger than regular wet laquer, 'it darkens the shade slightly and isn't quite as shiny' but tbh I couldn't see a difference.
