hello all, ive got a 200 with a radiosat classic radio (std one) does anyone know if i can get an ipod conector for this ive tried the normal connect2 one and it does not work. Could i upgrade the radio to the renault blootooth version or would a hird party one be better. below are some...
I still have mine, its got about 270bhp. As mentioned the brakes are crap you realy need some big disc with 4 pots to do any justice. The gearboxes are prone to blowing third if i remember when putting around 300bhp through it. You can get gear kits to sort this out if willing to pay for them...
1) Mk 2 escort 1600
2) Nova SR
3) Renault 21
4) Mk2 escort 1700 rally car(used to race)
5) Renault clio 16v
6) Sunny GTI-R (still have this)
7) Clio sport 172 Mk 2
8) Racing puma
Dont shot blast them as a shot blast machine uses steel shot normaly and this is to large hard and course particals for alloy wheels. I put some in a machine for a friend after warning him and they came out all pitted. You would be better off getting sand blasted as it should do less dammage. Or...
Well il bring it to a track day if i can for a play. Must be me getting older that im not intrested in flat out speed but more on handling. But then again ive got the mad sunny to play with aswell. As for the power 155 bhp is quite alright and 170+ is quite easyly atainable. Il have to have a...
I must agree that the cup/172 is quicker in a straight line, as my puma only puts out 155bhp(maybe more soon). But compaired to my old mk2 172 for proper driving around twisty country roads where cornering and breaking is more of an isue, the puma wins hands down as the handling and stpping...
Raced a 300bhp sunny gti-r and beat it hands down. Well my girlfriend was driving it at the time as its my other car and i told her not to boot it..lol
Check out the motering news paper, loads of rally cars in the back of it. Go to rallys and find out what everyone else is running and ask loads of questions about the cars. Just remember its expencive to enter and run a car, used to cost me a fortune in parts and tyres. But its loads of fun. To...

Ok ive been enquiring about the whole kit and the car from renault. This is the reply i was sent.
The car has been developped for national championship and Junior World Rally Championnship in the Super 1600 regulation. The car is offered in a complete kit in tarmac specification which...
I looked into doing the same and was told go throttle boddies as they would provide better power than modding the head. But would be nice to know what the mods would provide aswell.
Just fitted one to my Mk2 172. Was easy to do only 4 screws for a heat shield, one conecting bolt then a large circlip. Took under an hour to fit. The gear changes are alot more pricice now and there feels alot les slack in the linkage. Cost £170(including postage and vat) from K-tec.
Im after a new exhorst for my mk2 172. What does everyone think is the best one, want a single exit pipe and nothing so loud you carnt hear yourself think. Also is it worth getting a cat replacement pipe or is this going to mess up the ecu. I dont need an mot for a 2 years so not bothered about...
