Aircraft landing gear uses oil and nitrogen, no springs involved. Although some smaller stuff, puddle jumpers, rotary and older stuff use a spring in the process.
Guys, not a sport I know, but ......
The step daughters 1.2 02 Reg Clio is a non runner, the garage have told her the ECU is dead.
Now, on a previous car, I sorted this myself with a second hand ECU and lock/key combo kit from a breakers. Question is this, can I buy a similar kit of parts ie...
Re: CLIO IV RS for 2013, Last news
I love it. Cup chassis option will sharpen it up for the enthusiasts and the interior looks like a very nice place to be. I like the DSG style box, others may not, but having driven the Golf GTi DSG, I'm sold, it's brilliant, the same concept is used in this...
Would be different if he'd mowed you son/daughter/friend down whilst driving like that. He should be banned for life with a very hefty prison sentence, he won't be though, where's the justice in that?
A little update ......
The Clio had the steering issue addressed under warranty, now drives superb, it really does feel a different car.
I've done about 1000 miles since the fix and coupled with the service at Birchdown, it feels mechanically 100%.
Dodgy window seal replaced, interior cleaned...
My book defo says 6 years, maybe it's because it's an 08 plate? Never mind, it will be done at its next service as I've just had the aux belt and pulley done, it was whining!
Get a standard chassis version with recaros and speedlines, then paint the calipers and wheels, best of both worlds. The Cup pack is a little tiresome on rubbish roads, but feels superb everywhere else.
Trophy. For that money, a decent 197 will be hard to find for sure, a good Trophy will hold it's value, they are a little more 'special' and probably in the right hands, quicker.
You need to spend at least 6.5k to get a half decent 197, I've just gone through that palava, a Trophy SHOULD be...
Rain X isn't as good as it used to be. They've had to bow to the Eurocrats and change the ingredients over the last few years. It used to be good enough to use on aircraft windows, but we don't use it anymore, a bottle that used to last years now lasts weeks as it needs constant re-application...
That's really nice! Maybe go a little darker on the alloys, 182 Cup alloys would finish that little peach off a treat. Possibly go for a few detail colour changes, Orange mirror covers with matching brake callipers would look good, depends what you're into though, I think it looks great as it is!

Cheers Gaz, the 'blow' is only on initial start up and until the revs drop off, so that's good news. I am warming to it, it's just my Cup was a hard act to follow dynamically. The steering issue will get looked at by Birchdown, I have asked them to diagnose it while it's there. I'm also getting...
I recently sold my superb Clio 172 Cup, http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?615340-Clio-172-Cup-Trophy-Recaros-Eibach-Koni-Suspension-and-more-%A33500
Why, well as a daily it was proving tiresome, and despite the fact it was an fantastic car when I was it the mood for it, most of the...
Now replaced with this..........
Jury is out at the moment, it's a world away from the Cup in every aspect, including performance, although the grip is phenomenal!
And since buying it I've noticed a couple of typical 197 mechanical issues that I didn't pick up initially, hopefully will be...
That 3M stuff is good. It's good enough for aircraft screens at work, so it's plenty good enough for my car! Bit of hot water to shift the bugs first and you're done. Currently on offer at my Tesco.
