The guy I knew had his set up that it would start but remain locked. A few cars have this as standard so I assume there isn't a problem.

Do you remember the company mate? Also are there issues with them like say it interfering with the ecu kinda thing?

Yeah I'm thinking the same thing but would add a nice touch. Also after one of these speed gauges that shine onto the windscreen.

Lovely cars for the money think there a bargain actually one where I stay it's the older model/cheaper but wow. How long do they take from order to at your front door? It's my dream car if I ever get one that's another story.

Unless you have a healthy engine you'll need a remap and cams for that going by the figures I see on here. There's a thread that just has mods and figures which should give you a idea ;) you have a budget for mods?

I honestly can't comment plan to get one done but will have to trek down south. I think if you have a spare £200-300 for one there worth it as it smoothes the idle which for my car seams worse with the decat and gives you a better powerband. Ktec say 10-15 bhp but a lot of folk say this is too...

I wouldn't bother with the decat unless your after more noise more hassle than its worth. Performance wise there's not a lot to do as the car as standard is pretty good at what it does. Give it a good service oils coolant etc

To get to Inverness it's about a 3 hour drive legal. Nice drive up I did 3 times in one day bawbag work mate told me he forgot his keys in the company vehicle.

Maybe you could source a engine that has been modified and plop that one in?

Just my view even if you upgrade your brakes they may still fail he might have a weak wheel bearing does that mean you have to go buying absolutely everything that may or may not go wrong with the car? A roll cage pays for itself if it goes wrong.

If your going to spend money get a good cage and leave the rest it's a great car untouched.

Thanks Adam I had a go of a Audi A5 flappy paddles did miss the whole gear changing bit! As you say a test drive is what is best but do you recommend the dsg and what kind of mpg can you expect ? Sorry for the thread hijack its a lovely looking car
