Hi, I have exactly the same problem, the drivers door will not lock and no activity from the lock mech.
In order for me to investigate, could somebody please guide me on how to remove and replace the door card?
Best Regards
Rob.
Hi kerry thanks for the reply.
By instrument panel I mean the whole assembly that contains the speedo, rev counter and warning lights, if I can get in to that then I can conduct several tests to locate the faulty component.

Yes I know the fuse is only a couple of pence however there is no point causing further damage to the car's systems? Maybe I did not make my post clear; placing a multi-meter in Current mode i.e. to measure DC Amps rather than volts creates a shunt through a 10 Amp fuse in the meter thus...
The fuse replacement was simulated by using the multi-meter in current mode and the dimming issue was present on the odo meter so until I have diagnosed the root cause of the problem I am reluctant to replace the fuse.

Good evening, I am hoping somebody can help me fault-find the instrument panel lights on my 1.2 Clio Sport Y reg please.
I noticed the panel no longer illuminated and that the buzzer no longer sounds when the head lights are left on when the door is opened.
I have searched various forums and...
You could rig up a relay to switch on the lights when the central locking is dis-engaged, maybe even have a lux-level sensor to determin whether it is dark enough to switch the lights. Plenty of circuts on the net for this type of application.

Well to be honest mate body work work has a few blemishes, alloys curbed by previous owner and hole in silencer, other than that runs spot on.

Today, one around 14:20 southbound spanking it and overtaking everybody near Haggerston Castle and another infront of me through Warkworth turned off in Amble Habour around 2:40.
Oh right, well following the Hamsterly Forrest meet and seeing some of the cars there I was quite impressed to say the least, made my pride and joy look poop lol.
Inspired by the tidiness of those Renault Sport's I have decided to make my second car a 172/182 next year once I have the cash saved...
Ok.......
Appolgies for not understanding the semantics of the "Sport" wording, bit of a newbie so cut me some slack ;-)
So it's a Clio sport not a "Renault Sport Clio", gotcha.
Cheers

Hello, several "car enthusiasts" have told me that my Clio is a non-sport?
Not sure if this is accurate so if anyone with any knowledge could let me know the score please I would be most grateful.
The car:
MKII PH1 Y reg Clio "Sport" 1.2 16V.
Has a sport badge on the ass end and is registered...
Do you guy's have insurance over there? If you can make a claim on your policy then maybe you could import a new clio from Europe?
Sorry to hear about your misfortune :-(
