WHilst people seem to belive this is expensive depents on the labour rate easy enough to get garages with £100 a hour labour rate. Its not cheap running a garage
Easy enought to tell take the wheell off and measure.
If its a pohase 2 most likly will be a 259mm disks only some early 1.2 8v have the smaller ones from memoery
Only problems are the fuel costs and the fact toll barriers are on the wrong side.
O and if you drive on the tolls its going to be a bit of a boring drive and a bit pricy normal roads are cheaper but take a lot longer
Yep he drop me a message just interested realy how long somehting like that takes and costs. Looking at his prices (and no insult meant its more a state of my car) but the full works would cost more than my cars worth. I'd maybe like to have mine properly cleaned one day, I wash it in the summer...
I'd recon its the thermostat judging by what you said its closed up instead of staying open hence no radiator cooling the engine and hence the high temp.
Garage will be able to check see if the sensors working though the right temsp etc.
But the wiring to that temp sensor has always been...
If you get truly geekty theres quite a few bits missing/different
Possibly the most geeky is the 3rd rear belt isn't there. and the windscreen is different
Gearbox is the same speeds but has a speedo sensor.
Injectorss and pumps can be issues. I recon if they make over 80k then there ok for another 80k.
Unfortunatly pumps and injectors arn't cheap.
As for milage limits there isn't any I've heard of over 500k ones and that was years ago.
They stick the engine in the Megan and thats heavier and...
Wheather you track the car or not should have no bearing on having coilovers or the type. You need good suspension which often means ££ for the job your using the car for fast road etc.
Ive had my 65hp for a few years and never got bored. HP doesn't make for a good car.
Spend the money on what yyou want IMo moding isn't good value for money buy neither is owning a car often.
Good suspension should be put on any car regardless of HP.
Suspension changes will make you handle more speed in the bends as well.
IMO though don't bother touching it unless your going to spend a lot forget springs changing or cheaper coilovers spend a lot or nothing. Stock setup can do a lot.
French use a system called CV for initial road tax. This is absed on emmisions although I belive hp is also counted. Stupidly complex you just pay what they say low emmisions = cheap to buy and no road tax ever. High emmisosn expensive to buy no ongoing road tax unless its bough since Jan 2012...
