I think ill wait until Ive seen what he did to my friends Polo to see what his work is like. When I went to see him he had a merc in his garage so he cant be that bad if people with nice cars trust him.
I have looked for somewhere to attach it and cant seem to see anywhere. I was thinking it must attach somewhere because it shouldnt scrape that bad, sometimes I think mines going to come off!!
I think I will go and have another good look.
mine does it too, cant see anywhere to attach it and it doesnt seem to move. if my car is full, then it scrapes along any slight raise in the road.
And yes, i only noticed after garage had put new pipe on. keep meaning to take it back and ask them to do something........
I have just been working out all my wee girls UNI fees etc; God knows how you students manage:(
dash, we students manage because we have nice parents, like yourself, to support us and give us beer money!!
ok, so Ive got a quote from a bloke that does cash-in-hand type work and he says he can fix the sill for £100. (this includes patching up a bit of rust just above the sill.)
I think this is quite a good price, only thing that worries me is that he doesnt seem to have a clue about cars -...
my rt is exactly the same, ive had it three years and had nothing but problems. last year i spent £1600 on repairs, and the car is only worth half that! As much as I love my clio, I definitely will not get another renault.
lol, yes all sexual favours instantly revoked. I think he feels quite bad though I got breakfast in bed today!!
I think (hope) that the dent can just be popped out, will need spraying though because the paint is cracked.
On Monday my car goes in for MOT and passes. I decide not to get it serviced cos im a cheap student, thought id do it myself. I went to halfords yesterday and got oil filter, oil, air filter and a fuel filter. So, we borrow a trolley jack from this bloke and my boyfriend starts to jack car up...
I have just dropped my car off for its MOT, and am now sitting at home with my fingers crossed (hard to type at same time!) hoping and praying that it goes through cos I cant afford to fix anything. It seems to be everytime I take it to a garage they find something major wrong with it. Anyways...
yeah thats what i thought. theres one near me that only has french cars so i might try there.
however, if its the actual plastic bit on the end of the wire that comes from the loom thats broken, thatll mean a whole new wiring loom thing wont it ?
ok, so i got the heater control panel off and have now found out why the heater doesnt work - the plastic bit that the wire from the loom plugs into is all black and burnt and melted, so is the bit it plugs into!
i went to a renault garage and they want £109 cos apparently the whole panel...
yeah my heater has been f**ked for about a year now, thought id fix it before winter came round again and i had to drive wearing about 20 layers cos its so bloody cold in my car!!.
to fix it though i think i need to take the whole dash off?
Anyway, cheers, ill do a search.
the heater doesnt work. the blower thing isnt blowing (if that makes sense!?) and one of the knob things doesnt turn!
where do i get a star screwdriver from?
i need to get the heater control panel out. in the haynes manual it says i need to take the cd player out first then the control panel. do i really need to take the cd player out cos it seems like a lot of hassle to me, i dont have the special tool thing to get radio out, plus i need one of...
tell me about it, just took my car to a garage to get wheels aligned and was told that i need four new tyres - £170! i know this is not alot compared to some but its definately alot more than is in my bank account!!
as i understand it, some tyres have directional tread so you can swap them from back to front and vice versa but not left to right cos then the tread would be going the wrong way.
i have a question and you have to forgive me for sounding a bit dumb but im a girl and know nothing much about cars. sorry :).
Anyway, I have a bog standard 92 RT and have just put some alloy wheels on it. however, the alloys are bigger than the original wheels. they are 15 in as opposed to...
