So what about draining and refilling? I found the 8mm drain plug and assuming that the rubber nozzle on top of the Gearbox is for filling. Anyone know the capacity? the oil grade? Renault London City were particulary unhelpful explaining they couldnt tell me the details incase i got it wrong...

I ran in fairly carefully up to about 800 miles...

It gets used quite enthusiastically and was sticking in second sometimes at hight revs, it hasnt been changed from new (now 6k) so thought it wouldnt do any harm. Just wondering on tips for access to drain and filler and what grade oil is recomended.

Anyone got instructions on how to do change the gearbox oil on a Cup? Thanks.

Any advice on the best places to jack the Clio (front and back) with a trolley jack and position axle stands to avoid damamge?

I dont use the car the much so am quite prepared to leave the track day tyres on all the time (road legal versions obviously) and avoid the expense / storage issues / swapping of extra wheels. So if you know of any...

Anyone found any track day style tyres (i.e. A032, A048, ACB10, etc...) in 195/45 16? The size seems a little obscure and I havent found anything yet.

Can you talk me through the fitting of the front brace?

Does anybody have the Brake Pad reference numbers (front and back) for some decent fast road pads from Mintex (1144s), Ferodo or Pagid for a Cup, some distributors seem conifsed on exactly which pad is correct. Not my intention to start off a debate...

Sadly enough i did...memory is a little hazy but i think approxiamte weights were: Upright ~ 9 kg Bench ~ 4 kg so i all in all about a 16kg saving. Ill check later.

Thanks for that philip, can the metal bar behind the rear seats be removed as its quite heavy and would now appear to be redundant. I presume its not there to also add to stiffness...

I meant that (as far as i am aware) there are less choice seats available which can be mounted on the existing sub-frame - hence looking at the side mounters.

Only problem is a reduced range on the sub-frame mountable versions (I want Sparco Corsas), but Ill look into it. Any thoughts on the harnesses, can existing holes / bolts be used or do i need to get the drill out?

Just noticed Ive posted this in the wrong section, apologies! Can even the side mounters fit on the existing sub-frame, I didnt think they could?

I want to fit fixed back race seats (with side mounts) and harnesses in a Clio Cup, back seats are removed which will hopefully help. Can anybody offer any advice on how to do this, in particular do i need to drill new holes or can i use existing holes? Thanks.
