hi guys, as title says my headlights rapidly flash now and again. the other day when i was on the motor way they decided to cut out! only side lights were working and managed to get my fogs on for a bit of light. high beams did not work either! this has been a reocurring problem for a while now...
i have 2 fault codes that have made my engine management light come on. if any 1 could help me with what they mean i would be greatfully
first 1 is:
N/A DF0126 throttle position track 2
second 1 is:
N/A inconsistency between track 1-2 ETC
car goes into limp mode every so often with these...
raced a type r last night and could not pull away from it! raced it 3 times from a set of traffic lights from stop and there was nothing in it for a good quarter of a mile (till road was running out lol) .
the type r had the driver and a passenger in it and i think it was standard.

i am going to buy a new set of polly bushes for the wishbone. just wondering if its better to buy the new black range or the old purple range?

hi all. when i turn my steering wheel (when still) i get a loud snapping noise. if the car is moving it seems to be ok. ive had a simalar problem before and it turned out to be my poly bushes metal sleeves rubbing on the subframe. ive just changed my track rod ends + ball joints and its still...
as above. had engine change recently and had most bits renewed on engine when it was out i.e plugs leads ect, ect.
when i first picked car up after the engine swap the timing was out half a notch or something like that. so had to take it back to get it sorted.
the car almost sounds like it cant...

i have climate control in my car and i was just wodering if its possible to change it to the analogue controls?
as i dont like the climate control set up
i have had an engine change last week and it runs well! but i have noticed that the water temp drops to about a quarter when im driving. is this normal? and if the car is sitting still it gradually climbs to half, but when i move again it starts to go back to quarter.
its just that my old engine...
when i first start car and drive it for 200yards ish, if i put car back into neutral the revs seem to move up and down between 1 + 2k slowly. it has not always done this, just miby over the last 6months. even when the car has warmed up a bit it sometimes still happens. could it be a sensor issue...
as above. had an enginge change and timing belt and dephaser.
the car is very rough on idel and i know this is normal but it is rougher than it should be.
when i lift clutch in first, the car is hunting for revs and sometimes stalls then if i try to start it again it struggles to.

im reading the guide for the air con delete and it says i need 5 - 7mm washers? is it the hole in the middle that is 7mm? i can get 6mm and 8mm no prob but 7mm is an odd size. and also how big are the actual washers, e.g penny washers?

is the pre and post cat sensor the same on a 172 ph2 as i want to renew both. just not sure if they are 2 different sensors or is it the same 1 for both?

as above. at night when i start the car when auto headlights are activated they sometimes but not all the time start rapidly flashing until i turn them off and on again. i can hear the relay clicking when this is hapening. could the relay be starting to go faulty or could it be the sensor thats...

just bought the rs tunner and going to use it today. it says in the instructions that i have to make sure car is on 'full ignition' and not to use it in freezing temps. what exactly is full ignition and how cold does it need to be outside for it not to be safe to do this?
