It started running on three cylinders a long time ago and changing the coil pack and leads didn’t solve the problem. Some other stuff had come up and I had another car to use so I left it in the garage and haven’t got round to it since - I think it’ll need all fluids changing and a proper...
Thank you. It’s not been running for a while so I’m not sure exactly what it’ll need but definitely not mapping! It’ll need transporting so might be a bit far from Diamond Motors but I could ask the question
Morning all.
I’ve had a search through previous posts but can’t find anything recent. I’m looking for recommendations for a Renault specialist local to me. I’m currently in Bradford, on the border with Leeds, but will be moving to Boroughbridge in North Yorkshire in the not too distant future...
Thank you. I wish I’d thought to try and charge it up a lot sooner, I assumed it would be ok(n) There’s a YUASA battery on GSF which was comes in at around £49 with the current promotion so that seems a decent price
Morning all,
I’ve got a Bosch S4 battery from my 182 which ran flat. It’s not been used for a couple of years but kept in a dry garage. It didn’t have any problems before but it just sat for too long without use and ran flat. I’ve got a small 4A charger which I have connected up to get it back...
Afternoon,
My mk4 dci is due for the first annual service and on 7700 miles. I'm trying to book online as the service dept is shut but can't work out whether to select interim or full service.
I've had a good search online and looked everywhere I can logically think in the handbook, including...
I've got a mk4 dci to commute in. I got it on a PCP deal a few weeks ago. I had a thread on here whilst deciding whether to get rid of the 172. I got a lot of positive feedback from owners of dci models and some criticism at the concept of it saving money over continuing with the 172 which was...
When I've looked for 1*2s in the past there's always been a place in Newcastle pop up which seems to stock a few at a time - believe it was called 'DTM'. Can't comment on whether it's a reasonable/trustworthy dealer though, I've just seen adverts in passing.
Not a huge amount. Not many feature films really, I'll probably get rid soon after a couple of years of using it on and off. That said, there's some exclusive content which is your high budget US series type. A lot of it gets good reviews - the only one I've watched is 'Narcos' which I'm getting...
I quite often use my Xbox for the Netflix app, as well as BBC iplayer and 4OD (or whatever it's called now). It's quicker and more reliable than doing it via the Virgin Media TiVo box. Mostly I tend to record stuff from TV broadcast on the TiVo and watch it as and when.
I like having the choice...
Will do, Martin. Thanks again for all your comments to assist me in my decision.
Ron, you clearly understand the issue! An estate agent would call it an 'up and coming area'.
Apologies, I got myself muddled with who'd posted what!
Update is I've picked up the new car. Very pleased so far and I anticipate that it'll be a very suitable daily drive
@Martin_172 do you own a mk4 dci at the moment?
That's how I felt taking one out for a drive - nice comfortable experience where nothing feels awkward. Even the steering wheel is pleasant to hold coming from the massive one in the 172!
Once again, I appreciate the input from everyone. I've asked the dealer to provisionally go ahead with the finance checks for that deal so I can go for it by the end of the week if I decide to. The 172 is sounding less healthy by the day so I've almost made my mind up.
Chaski and Ricardos -...
That's horrible mate, I feel for you. Had any disputes with anyone near your mum's? Someone's jealous that you've got that motor and it's been kept so nice. This happens to be my best mate's old car...
The 275 is lovely in general - It's great if you're not used to the toys such as the sat nav and Bluetooth. I can't say I ever feel like driving it sensibly though - if anything the RS monitor just encourages me! I find it impossible to drive without sport mode on for at least 90% of the journey...
You've asked for advice and are refusing to take on board what you've received back.
People are giving you their time to offer help, not acting as professionals - after all, you're not paying for the expertise of those who are trying to get you to acknowledge what they're advising. How can you...
Martin, that's very helpful. Thank you. I think I've made up my mind after reading that.
Is the stereo that 'bass reflex' thing? I remember that being on a courtesy Clio I had a couple of years back. I think it sounded ok with Bluetooth from my phone but hardly what you'd expect from the...
That's lovely. I've never seen a red one in the 'flesh', really like that. Agreed about difficulty getting spec as you want in the right colour. I had a white one for the leather recaros and cup pack with low miles for the right price. Would much rather had OG or red though.
Those 19" wheels...
I always wonder about my old cars. You've prompted me to check my old BG 182 which I parted ways with years ago. Glad to see she's still taxed and MOTed too! I was quite attached to that car as well - my first decent motor.
I've looked around a bit and spoken to some dealers - Kia and Mercedes as suggested. Cheers for the advice. The Pro-ceed is a car I like the look of but main dealers won't do anything near the same price unless it's got a fair few miles on and less of the kit. They were also talking only...
I know, I'm not sure how well I'll cope with the lack of power. In the last 6 years or so I've gone from a basic fiesta to a 182, then a Megane 250, the the trophy and 172. It's going to feel very different.
Thanks for all your input everyone. As you can probably tell I'm almost decided on...
Charltjr - cheers I'll have to look into this. Any broker in particular? Essentially what I looking at is a brand new one but registered by the dealer on a 15 plate (delivery miles only). The initial quote was about £185 but haggled down to a lower interest.
Paprika123 - Thanks, that sounds...
