I think cars on the forum are generally cost more as there cars people have cherished and taken care of therefore they place higher value on it I imagine a rb 182 with fresh belts and dephaser would probably fetch 3k plus on here. Infact there's one at the moment for £3500

After a cheap track car thought what better than a Clio as loved my 172 cup before I sold up just looking for something cheap and came across this though the name of the dealer puts me of a little haha factor in a belt and dephaser change which it will probably need for £2500 seems good deal...

this isnt a mpg thread on a single car its a comparison of 3 variations of the clio and if the loss in mpg is worth the gain in performance im not arsed about mpg as long as the car is worth it buy sounds of it 197/200 arent

my main thing is the loss in mpg over the 182 worth it for the gains you get owned a 197/200 i.e people dont moan about there m3's evo's ect shocking mpg because there beats my sounds of it the 197 isnt that much better if at all than the 182

well in my old cup i got 35mpg with a heavy foot few threads i see poeple say they struggle to get mid 20's at best

as above been looking at getting another clio seen a few nice 182's but ive also seen a few nice 197's and 200's for a couple k more just wondering what are they like to drive which is the best of the 2 or infact 3 and are they as bad on fuel as some people say? many thanks

not alot really i did the same minus the new turbo he got, i got a doner for 650 failed mot on steering play rust on sills 2 bald tyres took of the front end rear bumper interior ect sold the engine and box for 250 scrapped the rest for 130 so only cost me around 250ish

ah well theres horrible clunking when turning the wheel as well as pulling to the right when the wheel is centred which i presume is a knackered rack? so thought to replace both rack and tie rods

as above dont really want to go to main dealer for this but im guessing since the tie rods listed on ECP arent the right ones neither will the rack any help would be greatly appreciated

As above really looking for one or the other had a cup already so know how good they are but are they that much better than the normal ones as looking on PH & AT seems i can get a really nice normal for the price of a rough cup. I have around 2k to spend pushed to 2.5k so not expecting anything...
