Lee M, I got my 182 from Renault Birmingham and it was three weeks late so someone is telling porkies. They did turn it round in one day though, just forgot to fit the autochanger. Promised they would call me last Saturday to arrange fitting, no call yet!!

I paid 12900 for a 182 with metallic, cup spoiler and suspension and CD Autochanger from a Renault dealer, but have had to wait 8 weeks so far for delivery.

I got mine for less that 13500 from a main dealer without friends and family discount. Metallic, cup suspension, cup spolier and CD Autochanger for 12900.

Sounds a silly question but some mags are quoting 179bhp and 180bhp. Seems the 182 is the PS figure. Is this correct??

Immobilisers are Cat 2, to be graded as CAT 1, cars need to have an alarm and immobiliser fitted.

Erm, Autocar said that 80% of 182 s torque is available from 2000rpm, thats roughly, 120lb/ft, surely thats enough pull lowdown to start things moving??!!

Ive got my current policy on my Saxo with Bell Direct, and am going to change it over when my 182 arrives. If you look on their website for a quote the 182 is listed, Im quoted on line 598 with 150 xs!!!!

Jon, If its any help, I part exd my 97 P Saxo VTS, 95000 miles, part service history against a 182 and got 1800 quid. My 182 cost me 12900 including part ex value thats with metallic, both cup options and cd changer.

Indicated 135 on the flat on a motorway...in my Saxo VTS!!!!! Stuff starts going backwards very quickly doesnt it!!!!!! This was about 4years ago though and it still had another 500rpm to the red line,so that would mean 145mph!!!!!!! It is just possible my speedo was slightly out!!!!

Which dealer are you getting your car from? Youre Midlands area arent ya? KDFs post above mentioned that they didnt fit the splitter until after transport cos it might get damaged. If I were you Id have a good look where the splitter should be to make sure it hasnt been knocked off or the area...

Re scidirect, they ask for 375 up front to introduce you to the dealer. Thats included in the 12750 price of the car. If you dont order the money gets refunded.
