182 Buyers - where did you order from

Hi group, first post...

Am just about to buy a 182 - looking at a few Internet dealers so wondered how recent or soon to be 182 owners bought theirs.

Any tips on getting the best deal, or avoiding any pitfalls would also be appreciated :)

I currently drive a TVR Griffith and prior to that had a New Mini Cooper S - found the MCS to be quite slow with a very harsh ride so will need a test drive before I commit myself.

Cheers!

I got mine from Renault Birmingham, but if you want to save a bit then have a look at scidirect.co.uk.

I was gonna buy from these, quoted 12750 for metallic, both cup options and cd autochanger. It is pre-registered(04) but from UK dealer and delivery mileage only, just their name as first owner.

Only problem though they havent replied to my e-mails requesting info on the deal and I had e-mailed them about 5 times!!

£12500 for car OTR + Extras
Just had a look at that site. Do they only offer a lease type purchase where mileage is restricted? Have you seen the final purchase prices ?
the mileage only comes into it if you hand the car back and walk away so doesnt bother me and you can pay cash if you wish or get your own loan so very flexible. I just wanted lowest monthly payment and at £127 with all the extras thats what I got.

they have put the price up £200 recently, when I ordered mine several decades ago (November) is was £12500 OTR and with Cup Susp/SPoilers + CD Changer I paid £13100

Re scidirect, they ask for 375 up front to introduce you to the dealer.

Thats included in the 12750 price of the car.

If you dont order the money gets refunded.

I used Motorlogix they work in a similar way you pay them around about £280 the car is ordered from the dealer I got a Black Gold 182 with Suspension upgrade and Spolier. The car is a UK car, comes with the three year warranty, roadside assistance etc.

You pick it up from a Renault dealer who have been helpful everytime I have rung to get an update of its location. Pick it up on Friday

Cost £13,153.

  Cup 172

UK Car Broker will do a pre-registered 04 plate 182 with metallic paint and cup extras for £12,650 OTR

Bizarrely I just had a call from Phil Barker of Barkers of Preston telling me they have got 7 or 8 182s in available for purchase now. All Silver with upgraded suspension for £12,150 they also have some others without the upgrades, please note they are imports. If anyone wants his number let me know.

Ive found a few parrallel/grey imports at cheaper prices but you only get 2 yrs warranty. Plus on the 172 (parrallel import) you didnt get alarm as standard! I want a UK car not an import, best price i found was to go through a mate at renault! thats 22% saved straight off before extras they thrown in! thats the way im going, just gotta decide on colour before saturday! any suggestions?

best import price ive seen is 11.699 so say 12500 OTR on motorpoint.co.uk... happy shopping!

I tried clickcars but their 182s are pre-registered, and the price has just gone up a few hundred pounds - seemed like good folk to deal with though.

My local Renault dealer is working hard to get my custom and can offer zero percent finance for 3 years with a third deposit. Ill use a zero percent offer credit card for this and Im sure my Griffi will be sold by the time the credit card offer is done.
