Massive thanks going out to Joe Darley who gave me the tip off about my 2012 15" Retina MBP. Took it in for a replacement battery about 2 months ago, they couldn't get a battery just as Joe said they wouldn't and today they swapped it for a brand new and sealed 2017 Touchbar model for the cost...
I've not actually had it yet, I thought it would have been in store ready for collection now but not had a call. Hopefully early next week now, will give them a ring today and chase it though. Will post up an update once I've had it :)
This.
Took my 2012 15" Retina MBP for a battery replacement. They couldn't supply a battery (£199) and so they've ordered me in a Apple certified refurbished machine which is a 2017 model because my 2012 had dedicated graphics and 512GB SSD the closest spec they had was a 2017 model. Should...
Wonder if they'd do anything with mine? It's a 2012 MBP which did have Apple Care but has obviously ran out now. But it looks just like the pic above all over really!
a 1.2 one?
Bought my mrs a crash damaged clio for her first car (52 plate 1.6 Dynamique) and it needs a rear axle. I've found a local breaker with a 1.2 Dynamique roughly the same year but wondered if the axles are the same?
Thanks
Dan
Not sure where it goes, my matre who got it on the ramps seems to think it will be a big job to change?
Anyway's I'll get it on the axle stands tonight and take it off.
My mate took it to work today to have a look why it's losing power steering fluid. Turns out the exhaust heatshield has rubbed through a small power steering pipe.
Also anyone know the price of it?
Thanks
Dan
Sorted it tonight I think :D
I think the problem with mine was the gasket between the TB and inlet. Removed it again and re-oiled the moving parts on the TB.
Then I completely scraped all the old shitty gasket off and put some new gasket sealent on and it's now bang on :D Idles perfectly every...
I did re oil the spring, pretty well too. Like I said it seems to spring back really well with nothing stopping it at all. Infact it's quite hard to hold it open!
I didn't put a new gasket on. Mate of mine does seem to think it could be an air leak.
I'm gonna try cleaning all the old gasket...
Right, my phase grim 172 has started doing this. Had a search and a fair few people have had this problem so I've followed some of the stuff they've done but still the same.
Once the engine has warmed it will stick at 2kish or more almost everytime I press the clutch in and not drop back down...
Swapped stub axles over tonight for the one I KNOW is perfectly straight and guess what, still on the piss the same. So I'm pretty certain it can mean only one thing. This axle is also bent!?
Just spoke to the breakers again and he's said there is a chance this one could be bent too as he bought a load of parts from another renault breakers and this axle is one of them that come from the other company so he doesn't really know the history of it.
Anyway, he has said to try my good...
It was from a 172 cup Fred. Came complete with calipers, discs the lot. Good buy at the price I paid. Well not so much if it's bent lol.
I've really got a feeling that this one is bent too :(
Not too sure if I'm honest. I'll give that a try tonight though when I get home.
Infact, the stub axle's aren't handed are they? Maybe it's worth trying my good stub from the old axle onto this one?
