1.2 16v Engine

Basically, my car sounds utterly fcuked when started cold. Never bothered me before, but since having a new exhaust put on it has made it sound worse. Sounds like there's a giant hole in the exhaust, and engine is twice as loud as it is when at normal driving temperature. Is this common with small engined cars? Or do i have serious problems?

Mines awful when cold, won't idle from time to time and just dies.

Yeah i'll get one up tommorow if i remember. Mine doesn't have problems with idleing, just sounds like a broken tank lol.

you should try having a diesel then starting it whens its -12 outside makes some weird noises. most cars are noisy when cold. as before vids will tell alot

Mines on 90 000 nearly and sounds fine when cold is it well maintained?

Completely forgot about this, will get a vid up soon. Mines just hit 90k aswell. I think it was a young lad who had it before me, so chances are that it was ragged to bits. It's due a service, maybey that would help?

service with good oil will always help but even my 6 month old car sounds w**k/loud on idle for a few mins until its got some temp in the oil..........
