1.2 Air Filter Help

  BMW E36 328
i take it your TB does not just come off the side of the engine? If you want/need a 90 degree elbow, i have a blue samco elbow for sale off my 1.2

There is a 'valve', but the positioning of it means that the air filter wouldn't attach and fit in the gap, the battery is in the way. So I'm thinking an elbow would be the easiest way to do it, and point it towards the front of the car. How much are you looking for the elbow? And what width is it?

EDIT. Managed to squeeze it on with a 60mm attachment and using a jubilee clip to make it nice and snug. It doesn't make the roar I was expecting, more like just the normal sound, but louder. I will be adding a cold air feed pipe tomorrow though, hopefully it should improve.

i would still say the 90 degree elbow from ROB91 would still be better than the position at the moment, as it would be farther forward allowing for more free flowing colder air but it would only be noise you'd be getting not any performance increase :)

Yeah a 90 degree elbow is a definite. You think that will improve the noise? I'm pretty disappointed with the noise so far.
