1*2 arch lining

since ive put the coilies on, they scrub ever so slightly on the passenger side on full lock sometimes, has any modified them so they dont scrub or taken them out? any ideas on what to do, as i dont really want to raise it up unless ive got to.
Cheers

You'll wear through them eventually and then only get scrubbing when on really poor roads at high speeds ;)

Nah I know what your saying, I'll keep an eye on this thread even though its basically too late for mine now

Options are raise the car slightly, take them out, live with it until they wear through (which they will!).

Mine rubs a bit on the road on 16's and coilover at the front of the arch where the bumper mount is. I cut the arch liner away and cut out a peice of metal there where the tyre was touching under hard cornering. This is mainly on track tho tbh. I run 15's on track now so u get even more arch clearance. Obviously depends on how low your car is as to how much the arch rubs realted to how hard your driving it :)

so if i take them out, or cut some of them away, it shoudl stop the scrubbing, but obviously its not the best idea, but is there much behind them that would need hiding up or moving out of the way in case a stone or something flung up there?

No mate. You can remove them if you really want to. it wont damage anything and nothing will get damaged. There there to just look pretty and make it look neater in the arches. Just cut them about caarefully till youve got rid of the places where it rubs :)

hey all, sorry to drag up an old opost, i put something simialr up the other dar,

im running a FF mk2 ph 2 172 with 16in wheels.

its on sportlines and i was having probs with rubbing in the arches where the bumper bracket was and now its better but when i really load the car up i still get some scrubbing, i think ill take the liner out completely as i may want to put it back in to sell the car with stockwheels and i dont want to have speed holess in my guards!

Any pics of where it scrubs apart form the bumber bracket area?

I'm running Sportlines on a FF with standard wheels and have no scrubbing :)

I don't know why you do ?

Are you running the standard size 195 45 R16 V rated tyres ?

As 195 50 tyres may cause scrubbage
