RB 182 Cup
Right fitted my decat yesterday... Are they meant to come with a free cut on your forehead? :rasp: i cut my fore head open whilst fitting it lol
Fitting:
Is a b*****d, would take about 15mins if you didnt have to drop the subframe lol. Managed to get all my nuts and bolts off without rounding any brap brap brap. Apart from the subframe its easy
Sound:
Made my system really really raspy, dunno what it would sound like on a standard system, will probably sound like the exhuast is blowing. Does pop a bit sometimes but very rarely. On idle you wont notice it but makes it slightly louder with your foot planted.
Performance:
Noticed the top end is freed up alot, Pulls straight to 7k with no hesitation. Before it felt a bit 'restricted' as if it still had a bit left at about 5.5 - 7k but its cleared that right up. Bottom end is no difference and mid range i feel is more responsive and thats about it really.
Value for money:
Im a tight b*****d so just for a pretty much standard cat with a pipe welded in place of the crap inside for £80 is alright would like it more if it was like 50 or something lol. Is worth it though for the gains as its freed it right up and sounds cool too. Only thing is you have to try get hold of 1 first!!
Another thing i forgot to mention was the emissions light. Ive done about 50 miles since yesterday and might light hasnt come on so its all good in the hood at the minute.
