1.4 16v Engine mounts

How many engine mounts does my mk2 ph3 have? 1.4 16v. What is the name of them all, and how easy are each to change? im trying to solve the slopiness off the gear changing and make everything feel tight again so im going to change them all. Oh that includes gearbox mounts as well.

already had a new one.... just think they replace the worst one.. so im gonna replace them all myself. even though its under warrany.... change yours as well lazy boy!

there are 3 mounts... one under the battery, one visible on the other side of the engine bay and one under the engine.

i went through 5 mounts in a year on my old 1.4 16v!

3 mounts on your car.
1 the famous dogboe mount from the gearbox to the back of the engine firwall underneither the car.
The engine one on the drivers side up the top.
The one which the battery sits on.
You could look at using the R19 16V /172 mount which bolts onto the sufrmae at the front as the gearbox might have theholes but I wouldn't put much hope on it.
