1.4rt arches

I have the body of a 1.4rt but mys torsion bar is a 16V jobbie. Because thios is wider than the original one i get scrapage on the rear arches on my 15s. What i wanted was to know how or if i can increase the width of my arches so i dont get scrapage or machine down my alloys a couple of mil.

Please help guys this scraping is pissin me off royally

If i was 3 stone lighter it wouldnt be that bad. If i put the rt bar back on I lose the 16v rear disks.

I dont think rolling them is gonna make any difference. Ive only got 15s on

so it scrubs all the time?

You can roll them and gain about 10mm exrta clearence.

Or you could have them flared a tad without having to get 16V efforts.

not a bad idea.

It doesnt scrub on the top of the arch, its the tyres scrubbing on the side of the arch. The cars lowered just under 100mil on coilovers and i can go lower if it doesnt rub on the side wall

100 mm isnt that drastic over standard. Rustys was dropped about 120, still 80 down.

I dropped mine (19) about 5 inches but now its about 2 inches lowered. Dropped my sisters 6 inches but she wasnt amused, the 13 inch steelies were right up in the arch.

If its just the side get them ground back.

Remember tho, with the 16v bar, the track is wider.. so its slammed and the wheels stick out more..
