1.6 16V Project!

Car  1.6 16v
Hi Everyone, I thought I would post some pictures of my new Renault Clio Mk2 Ph2, 1.6 16v (2004) and its progress. It’s not going to be heavily modified just nice and subtle.

Here are photos on the 1.6 16v

I am putting my 1.2 16v back to standard and transferring a few bits over, colour coding, suspension, wheels etc.

What do you think?

I took delivery of the Clio and later found that the front passenger wing had a crack in it! Wasn’t happy and the garage only gave me £40 to get it repaired. They said that it wasn’t there when the delivery guys left it so it must of happened in my care.

I have now bought a black wing so just waiting delivery, then going to fit it.

So the paint work needs attention so I started machine polishing today, spent 3 hours and only got the passenger door and rear quarter done. Here are some photos.

Door handles took a bit of figuring out at first but were fairly easy when knew how.

Make sure you unscrew the screw where the window controls are. Give it a bit of a pull and the door card should come off without a problem.

Today (Wednesday 19th March 2008) lol

We did the other sides colour coding. Heres the wing mirror on the 1.6, Looks so much better.

The Reason why the boot lock is taped up is because i am spraying the pusher button which is between the Renault Diamond. :)

In Progress pic......

Yeah got the standard exhaust for the 1.2 but its in 2 lol, Not really sure how to put it back on the car.

Any ideas??

Will the magnex fit the 1.6??

Steve

wow thats proper colour coded, and here is me thinking that its just the bumpers and bumper strips :D that need to be done. looks really good, and also well done on finding a 1.6, i tried for ages before i became fed up and and settled for a 1.4

Yeah went for everything colour coded while in the bodyshop. Only 200 notes which i didnt think that was bad!

1. Front Bump strip
2. Rear Bump Strip
3. Wing Mirror and Surround
4. Scuttle Panel
5. Handles
6. Bump Strips
7. Side bullets (Now spray my own)

Steve

Depends on the bore as thats the only difference between all the 16v non rs systems. Cut off was lazy! You'll need a sleeve and get it welded back together to refit it.
