16v wishbone questions

i replace both of these today with the balljoints wot a b*****d to do!the bloody anti roll bar bushes were more or less welded to the wishbone!

anyway got there in the end and took it out for a test drive and it feels really light on the steering,could the old worn bushes make it stiffer?im also getting quite abit of oversteer i kno the anti roll bar bushes are f**ked could it be this?

and finally i couldnt use a torque wrench to tighten up the pivot point bolts as there aint enough roon to get 1 in on the bolts so i just tightened the as tight as i could wiv a big ring spanner coz the book says it needs 110nm which is alot!could this affect the steering?

do i need to get my tracking done now?

get tracking done deffo, replace and tighten wishbone bolts to 110 as instructed!

When i did mine, i thought it felt nice and tight! lots more confidence in cornering!

roll bar bushes where tightened to only 25nm yes???

you did replace anti roll bushes at the same time??

oh and when you tighten them 110nm bolts the car has to be at the usual ride height! else ur new bushes will wear prematurely

no i couldnt get hold of any anti-roll bar bushes coz its sunday,could this be it?where can i get them from?

how did you tighten the wishbone bolts wiv a torque wrench?baby wrench?

yes only tightened them to 20nm as book said

so it needs to be on a lift or suttin then to tighten at ground height?

cool get urself to reno get anti roll bushes, (sold in a kit, b*****d to fit)wishbone pivot bolts and locking nuts and lower ball joint pinch bolt and nut!

did them with torque wrench no problems i recall

did you just jack it up then in garage or on drive? theres no way on earth i could get anywhere near the pivot bolts with it on the floor mate there aint no room

perhaps i had d/shafts and hubs/struts out at the time, honestly cant remember!
