172 182 engine?

is there away of telling the difference between a 172 and 182 f4r engine? or are they indenticle apart from power output?

Exhaust manifold is 4-2-1 on 182
172 ph1 are quite different (cable throttle) but 182 and 172ph2 are virtually the same.

The inlet manifolds are all RS stamped on 182s, whereas only some 172s have the RS stamp afaik
RS stamped ones are supposed to be a little better

engine number, oil breather setup and head casting are the main ones

172 is F4R 730-736 (any number in between, hey i've had a few shandy's, can't remember exactly!)

182 is F4R 738 i believe
