172/182 exhaust

  clio sport 172
Hi all, I've just brought my first clio sport 172 phase 2
i love the car, allthough i feel some improvements could be made..
1.slight performance inprovement
(full exhaust system)
what you guys recomend?
Is it possible to fit a 182 back box? i love the look of the 182 rear...

2. coilovers, am wanting a good firm hard ride,
the best all round coilover for road / track ideally

3 full polybush. will be done when coilovers get put on

4 possible remap ..

all advice would be appriciated :)

Without cutting out and welding up the spare wheel well, a 182 back box can't be fitted.

You won't get any noticeable performance from an exhaust, but as you have a 172, you've got a massive selection of coilovers. I'd go with KW v2s personally.

Ahh i see, so it is possible, I dont know wether i like the sounds of cutting it up too much though..
If thats the only way, I may scrap the idea of 182 style, Will have to have a look at what nice subtle exhaust there are for the 172 then.

Don't bother with the 182 exhaust. Buy a yozza race 172 system.

Coilovers, if you don't care about the price tag, kw v2's, otherwise bilstein B14's

If you want to remap it, get your inlets matched too. Maybe get the Jms setup, v6 airbox, matched inlets and remap.

apart from your last comment, you are a man with taste! V6 airbox is a waste of time

You can get 182 look 172 exhaust but not many seem to have them on cars - been curious about them myself from time to time...

Not sure if they're restrictive due to the tight turn in the backbox - maybe someone knows..
