172/182 Front end differences

This probably sounds like a daft question, but I was wondering what (if any) the front end differences in the 2 cars are? Also is there a diference in the 172 and the 172 cup front end?

Any comparative pictures would be appreciated.

172 = Black headlights

182 = Grey Headlights.

Erm, I know the 172 cup has a splitter whereas the normal 172 doesnt, but not sure about the 182 does.

The 172 Cup doesnt have the zeon light washers
Apart from thats there no difference I can think of other than 182 cupas and 182 with the cup spolier pack have a little front splitter bit. Some 172 owners have also aded that splitter though.

This guy in the pub swore blind to me that there was a considerable difference in the front ends of the 172 and Cup. I argued there wasnt and he started going on about the Cup being quite a bit a wider at the front??? Take it that he was talking crap?

Wider front track - majority due to the wheel offset, but cosmetically, no.

Can I just ask what the wheel offset refers to?

Its essentially the dimenion between the centre of the wheel, and the face where the wheel mounts to the hub. I think.

Also, the Xenon washer blanks in both Cups are different. Body colour in the 172, and black in the 182 (the paint was too heavy for the 182)

182 has different suspension struts.
