I fear if I park over two spaces it will piss people off and they may damage the car as a result, I just park as far away as I can or look for an end so I can park close to one line and allow the extra space..

unfortunately not all people look after their cars as well as you do, one day you might find that somebody has squeezed in next to you because there are no other spaces about. I would only recommend doing this in a half full car park and not when it's busy.

downright ignorant :nono: :nono: not when you get back to your nice shining car and its got trolly dents in the doors ..................

I find it doesnt matter how far away from the shops you park. When you come back out the carpark is empty but you always have a car either side of yours Wa**ers.:(

I always park at the otherside of the car park. The Mrs complains but i don't listen.

I normally park at the end of a line of spaces so I can be as close to the curb/bush as possible which leaves loads of room on the other side of the car. Plus as far away from the store as possible in the hope no one can be arsed to walk that far!

i dont park over 2 spaces i just park away from people

same as. just park at the back of carparks and then walk the extra 20meters.

i would think if i was to take two spaces in a busy carpark it is more likly to be keyed / damaged by people as it makes the car stand out more

Always try and park next to a nice car, or leave just one side of your car exposed to potential dents - preferably the side thats already got dents!

If i do take up two spaces it has to be in a reasonably empty car park and only take up a little bit of the second space, just enough that someone else cant get in there and just enough so that it looks like you didnt do it on purpose.

I thought it was just me that happened to!

The cars only a 1.2 but the amount of parking dings it has annoys the hell out of me!

I will always try and park next to some upmarket cars that are looked after, Failing that it will be in a corner or end of row.

Hasnt stopped someone from leaving a nice blue dent in my rear 1/4 panel. Ah well never mind.

Parking over two spaces looks ridiculous! It's more likely to encourage people to damage it then to be honest!

Like most of the others, I just try and park away from everyone else.

i agree with the above, and i really dont see the point of parking over 2 spaces, your are just drawing major attention to your car, and people think you are a complete kn0b...

fair enough if you dont want dents...but you are just going to piss people off

as somebody said, i try to park next to expensive/clean cars ( doesnt make much difference though)

Thing is if you park in 2 spaces you get ignorant people like me who then park as close as physically possible to your drivers door.

i know what you mean, i havn't ever done it. try to park where there are lots of empty spaces or next to a car that looks like its well looked after

I reckon if you take up 2 spaces someone is more likely to damage you car as they are annoyed by it! This happened to my bro's Meg Coupe. If I need to park beside a car I try to find prestige cars to park next to!

Are people really so anal about their cars that they do this on purpose? I thought it was just people who can't park. Strikes me as rather sad and selfish and asking for trouble!

hahah yopu park like a bird!
I park as far away from the entrance as possible, most people are lazy and wanna park close to the store. Just park away from everyone...
I find supermarkets are the worst tho..

Like people have said I try to park either next to the curb/bush or at the top of the carpark.

You do normally find that someone STILL parks next to you despite the empty spaces but I just see that as they are thinking like me and see that I look after my car like they do and know i wont bash their doors.

Unfortunatly I do think you have to expect a few dinks now. Yes some people just dont give a damn but also some spaces just are NOT big enough for most cars.

I dont think we should expect dinks people that dont care for their own cars could at least have some respect for other peoples. Especially when it is generally the cleanest car in the car park and obviously cherished by the owner.

I do agree on the spaces some a tiny.

in an empty car park i abandon it over 2 spaces in a full car park i park it away from everyone

Selfish attitude really.

Funniest one I saw was some 10 year old battered Rover in the middle of two spaces. I was just thought to myself; why?

One day you'll come back to no parking dings but a nice big scratch all the way down your car, some c**t will have you for it.

I agree but some people just do not have any respect for other peoples cars. Unfortunaly you will never stop these a***holes from opening their doors onto ours or leaving trollys lying about

to be honest, you get mindless tw*ts key your car for no reason (i had it not long ago) and it makes you wonder if those same sort of people who park next to you, intentionally give the door a bash aswell!
