172 Alarm is drving me CRAZY!

For the last 3 weeks or so my alarm has been going off and on, off and on, off and on (get the picture?)

Theres been no one at it and i cant understand why its doing it!! I finaly came to the last straw when it woke me at 5am today.

Can i fix it myself or is it a dealership trip?

Dealership job. Ive heard of others whove had the same issue. Have you managed to get the code (series of beeps when you disarm) to tell you why the alarm went off?

Well it seems to beep 3 times when i go to disarm it, does that mean anything to you?

Yes, according to my book it means that its the interior ultrasonic sensors that have triggered the alarm.

Not really, just a man full of books!

I got an alarm book with my car - nothing too detailed, just a couple of pages but in about 27 different languages. Youll never guess what the Spanish word is for beep....

Sound like the ultrasonic detecters are very sensitive. Just drop it of at the dealer and get them to turn there sensitivity down.

althernitavely close the air vent. People at my local dealership said that the wing going in the vents can set them of sometimes.
