so what type of modifications will you need?

What if I have a,clio 16v with 4 pot racing brakes, alloy wheels and racing suspension and anti roll bar set up?

Would this be cheaper??

do you actually need to change the subframe??

the main prob is the exhaust manifold. Goes out the back of a 16v engine but front of a 172, so something has to be changed, alot of work id think.

Be cheaperjust to get a 172.

But not as much fun :devilish:

Would it be better to get a 182 engine instead of a 172 engine? (Im assuming that theyre the same size but may well be wrong! lol)

Yes, but where is it going to go? Not enough room to go over the top of the engine and tight with alot of obstructions under the engine.

Be hard, but can be done.

j3ned how much will it be to fit that lot? im guessing new engine mounts will have to made as well as well as lots of other custom bits?

  172 cup'd extreme

exhaust manifold is in the back of a 172 engine

the hardest bits i saw from that french site with the guy that did it were the 2 top engine mounts , he had to cut out some of the engine bay and he also fitted the dash from a 172 would take ages to fit imo
