197 FF Glacier White
Guys,
I have a couple of questions I hope you might be able to answer.
My 52 plate Cup has what I believe is an additional immobiliser fitted, I have a fitting certificate from the original Renault dealer who sold the car new, not that much info on it though. It's Laserline unit though, it has a key fob that slots into small unit mounted next to the gear stick gator. Question is, how does it work? I don't need to use the fob prior to staring the car, just wondering if I put the fob into the unit it will activate the immobiliser, requiring me to do the same to de-activate? A bit worried about trying it as I have no instructions for it!
Second question is the red light on the centre console, part of the door lock button, should this stay on when I lock the car with the fob? I'm only asking as I have never noticed it until tonight, I could swear it hasn't been on before when I've locked the car! I've noticed the dash binnacle one flashing, but not the solid, constantly lit one on the centre console.
Any insight appreciated.
Cheers
Gareth
