172 cup aux belt



  172 cup
my aux belt has started slipping and i was just wondering is there a guid to retentioning it? i searched last night on here but couldnt find anything and just went out and had a quick look but because i'm new to clio's, i dont really know what to look at.

any help would be much appreciated.

easy, slacken off the 13mm tensioner bolt and the 16mm alternator bolt, do up the wee 10mm nut on the threaded shaft until belt it tight enough (don't go mad as you can snap it, and its mega cash for a new one)

tighten up 13mm and 16mm bolts slacken off the 10mm nut and nip back up

done

haha the original one was some rig up attempt from when I brought the set-up, that snapped.. welded it back together, then noticed the threads where knackered on it!

Brought a new one from Renault, that snapped after a few weeks LOL, welded it back up and works fine now *touch wood*


I'll put it down to user error :rolleyes:

ahh thanks for the help :) was missing the 13mm bolt, have know idea how it came lose but all sorted now.
