172 Cup clicking, won't start :(

Hi,

Just went to start up my Clio for the first time in a couple of weeks and all I get is a horrible clicking noise. I'm assuming it's the battery, either flat or fooked, or something more serious. Can anyone confirm or deny?

I'm off to Amsterdam in the morning and won't be using the car for a few days, if it is the battery will the alarm start to go off if the battery goes completely flat?
