172 cup compression test results

Did this tonight using the gunson hi gauge. Bear in mind the engine was cold as the inlet etc is off at the moment.

cyl 1 200 just over
cyl 2 200
cyl 3 200 just under
cyl 4 190 just over

should I be buying a spare engine any time soon? Car has done 88k and had a top end rebuild at 67k ish.

Btw, does anyone know which fuse is the pump relay? I was venting fuel into a jug! as the fuel rail is off.

Just lift back seat and unplug pump.

Compressions should be done with WOT and cold so what yiu have done in correct

Ah cool. As the car is stripped, disconnecting the pump will be easy!
