172 Cup front brake issue

Hi guys, was testing the brakes in the wet the other day and it seems only the passenger side front want to lock up under heavy braking (confirmed with the rear view mirror - only one mark on the road)

I'm guessing a siezed front brake caliper on the drivers side?

Could there be anything else causing this? Disks and pads fine both sides.

Passenger side does lock up first as there is less weight assuming you have no passenger.

Get the brakes tested for efficiency at an MoT station if you're worried. If there is no excessive pad wear one side or pulling to one side under braking I doubt you have a significant problem.

My 172 Cup did this from new all the way up to 130k miles.

Solution, as above, is either a passenger, or a bag of cement in the passenger footwell.

Ha! Thanks guys, fannying about with the front caliper is one job i can take off the list.
